About
The Grizzly Course is a collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead. Since opening in 1972, this challenging layout has been host to numerous PGA, LPGA, and Senior PGA events. The golf course features long, curvy fairways lined with towering trees and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. The three final holes feature water hazards, which are also accompanied by a difficult array of bunkers. It offers a fair amount of difficult holes but overall the course is playable for a range of skill levels, which is why it is an appealing layout for tournaments. In addition to the two courses, the Golf Center also boasts an 11,000-square foot putting green and an Academy Course with four championship holes.

Great as Always, Some Staff Abrasive
Always love playing here. Nice carts, friendly golfers, but some of the staff (usually the starter/rangers) can be abrasive. My wife, me, and my friend took his new girlfriend golfing for her first time. She wasn’t the greatest as expected, but we booked late in the day to not throw off any pacing just in case.
The whole time we played our carts were saying we were 5+ minutes ahead of pace, and 9 times out 10 the group behind us was just getting to the tee box as we were approaching the green, on hole 9 the starter told us we were taking too long and to hurry up. Not sure what he was on about, especially since we were literally on our way to our shots that we just hit off the tee, the group behind us hadn’t even shown up yet, but whatever. My guess is he saw my friends girlfriend miss 5 swings and wanted to say something unnecessary.
Despite this really odd interaction, we still had a blast.
My home course
Fair pricing. I like the back 9 significantly more than the front. But very solid course. Well maintained. Pace of play is fantastic, especially during the week. Staff is great. Love this course and play it weekly.

Slow pace of play, otherwise good given the tennis makeover in progress
5+ hour round mid-day Sunday is just too slow, especially in near 90* temps. Marshals could do little to nothing to keep groups moving as it appeared the course was just oversold or tee times were stacked too close. No one group held anyone up, just 3 groups to par 4/5 holes and nothing could be done. No range due to construction, otherwise in great shape.

Nice Course - DON'T WALK IT
It's a nice course. Fairways are in great shape. They're doing some work on #9 so bounced us over to another hole on an adjacent 6 hole course. Asked the guy if I could walk. He probably should have said "Yes, BUT" the greens and tee boxes are miles apart and you'll walk through neighborhoods before getting there! By the second 9, I was cooked...definitely hurt my score.

The course is in great shape from tee to green. Hole 9 on front closed . Looks like they're doing away with water hazard that fronts the green area . Play academy #1 to replace 9 .
Great course
Course is challenging and tight. If you are the kind of golfer that isn’t strong off the tee, this may not be a good course for you. Trees line both sides of most fairways. Greens are small, very firm, and lightning fast.
Overall a great course and well-maintained!
Always a Safe Option
I’ve played the grizzly a couple times and can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed. The course has a very beautiful lay out but walking this course will seriously test you as it is incredibly big and winds through and under roads in the surrounding neighborhoods many times. If you’re looking for a traditional golfing experience that will leave you satisfied you can’t really go wrong here.
I never found myself stunned or blown away while golfing here but I do find myself instinctively saying “how about the grizzly” more than anywhere else since the consistency can be expected.
Great day for golf
Grizzly was in great shape. Course was wet but recommend to all. Great rate for spring golf.
Cart path only and the course wasn’t that wet. Got rained out after 12 holes.

Great course, nice pace
This course is beautiful and very friendly to the even high handicap players. The addition of the GPS on the cars is a plus.
