About
The Grizzly Course is a collaboration between Jack Nicklaus and Desmond Muirhead. Since opening in 1972, this challenging layout has been host to numerous PGA, LPGA, and Senior PGA events. The golf course features long, curvy fairways lined with towering trees and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. The three final holes feature water hazards, which are also accompanied by a difficult array of bunkers. It offers a fair amount of difficult holes but overall the course is playable for a range of skill levels, which is why it is an appealing layout for tournaments. In addition to the two courses, the Golf Center also boasts an 11,000-square foot putting green and an Academy Course with four championship holes.

You can definitely tell this course was very nice at some point, those days are long gone though however.
I paid 40 bucks to play on a hot deal and would not pay that again, course is in rough shape and the layout is insanely long. This is a challenging course but there are many that are much nicer in the area.

Grizzly
Not enough carts for all the golfers. Had to wait on every hole on the front 9. A two-some and two 1-somes got paired up by the starter. Then, some other golfers yelled at us for it even though the starter grouped us together. Starter also came out at one point and told us to speed up. Yet, the carts said we were almost 10 minutes ahead of pace of play. Spend you money elsewhere.

In Good Shape!
Grizzly in good shape. Tees, fairways, greens all good. Rough is fairly dried out and thinning out but that isn’t unusual at this time of year. Had not played there in a while. Was good to get back and play there again.
Range area need some work — not in good shape — maybe that will happen after the tennis tournament is complete.
Chipping and putting area very nice.

The course is in great shape . Maybe monitor groups to stay in position . Keep ball washers full . Plus some cold water stations on the course . Overall great value for the money .

We have been in a league here for years . They send out high school golf teams in front of us…. THREE HOURS and TWENTY MINUTES LATER WE FINISH( NINE HOLES ) Absolutely ridiculous . You would think leagues would have priority, apparently not . Other than Jack the management team here is a joke . Andy one of the pros , complete clown.
Bottom line you take care of league players , they pay the bills. Not one ranger out there to address this situation.

The Grizzly & the geese
Course in ok shape in general but still a lot of goose poop in misc. areas. Not much to do about it but if you’re sensitive to it you might want to play elsewhere.

Clubhouse attitude
Everything was nice about the course except the elderly women in the clubhouse that does the checking in. Their attitude started at a solid 7 upon walking in. Would recommend to someone maybe

good course, not friendly starters
Like the course a lot but last time we went the starter on the back 9 said that we played the front 9 "too fast" and have to wait for 5 groups before going off the back. Thankfully the group coming up next told us to go in front of us and agreed that was a ridiculous statement.

Fun except for Goose Poo! 🤢
The course was in decent shape, except for the bunkers were a bit rough, and tee boxes a little weedy. The greens were running great, and this has always been a fun course to play. However, they have got to do something about the geese / several of the holes are loaded with goose poop. greens and fairways. I know this is an issue for a lot of courses, but it is REALLY REALLY bad here and needs to be addressed as it creates a health hazard. Staff was super friendly and beer selection is great at the clubhouse. With a little more work they could get this course back to its past glory.
