Nature Course!
How many courses can you play where you get to see a Black Bear run across the fairway, a group of four deer standing 20 feet away calmly watching you tee off and a Red Fox taking a jog down the middle of your fairway? That's what I saw during this round. This is a very nice course nestled in the woods about 20 minutes west of Dulles Airport. Almost every hole is surrounded by woods and several water holes make it a very scenic course. The excessively wet weather this summer has left some of the fairways in an "under repair" state but overall the course was in great condition considering the circumstances. The rough was pretty thick making it difficult to find your ball or to escape from. Keeping it in the fairways is a must!! Staff were very friendly and pace of play was decent. I would definitely play here again!!
Thank you so much for your review. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back this season.
First Time
Good course. Was still really wet from all the rain recently and was surprised it was not cart path only. Greens were a little rough from aerating but overall in better shape than many of the private course in the area.
Only complaint was that the starter let a single "regular" start right before us. The regular proceeding to play three balls off the first tee delaying our start time. We didn't see that person after hole two but it was still annoying.
Thank you so much for your review and apologize for your time being delayed. We value your feedback, and will be sure to share this with staff to improve our guest's experience. Hope to see you back soon.
Thank you so much for your review. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back this season. Warm weather is around the corner.
Thank you so much for the five star review. We value your feedback, and hope to see you this season.
Great course for the price
I play this course weekly and love it! For the price it’s a challenging course in good shape.
Nice course , nice day !
Played here several times and this sends to be best.. course in great shape complimented by a nice day as well! will be back
Beautiful course
Wonderful condition, good mix of challenge and ease, great staff.
Avg muni
Great for the high handicapper. Flat, not much trouble and generally in good condition most of the year. One of the few walkable courses with close green to next tee placement. Played on a Wednesday and finished inside 4 hours as a 2 some. Hot dog is huge and delicious so only get one... Friendly staff makes you feel welcome.
Recommend.
Always an enjoyable round
Due to recent rain, the course was cart path only so I decided to walk. For this course, that is the better call. There greens were just aerated so they were bumpy but there was an aeration alert when I booked it so no surprise there. The fairways still had a decent amount of water but not bad. My partners were complaining about the group in front of us so we eventually passed them on a par 3 on the back 9. We still finished in 4 hours so not too shabby. Overall, I like this course and will play here many more times this summer.
Great course!
I love this course. Great day to play! Wide open for hte most part, nice layout. Good condition aside from aeration on greens. Usually expensive but caught a good golfnow deal.
Forgot to mention the aeration! Could be so much better
Not sure if this was GolfNow or the course but there was no mention of the greens before my aerated. The least the course could have done was give a coupon or something. I would bring my own snacks too. Had to wait for the simplest items. The staff at the grill where super nice so we stayed after the round for the Brambleton Burger which unfortunately was the highlight of the day.
Great course!
First time playing and it was great. Open course and easy to play for long hitters.
Great Course and staff
This is a fine Golf Course. The staff is exceptionally helpful. I will return the next time I'm in Northern Virginia.
Good conditions
Round was a bit windy, but beautiful weather for this late in October. That being said, it was surprisingly busy, but nothing outside what you would expect. Fairways were in pretty good shape, and greens were good as well! Always a good time to come out to Brambleton, and look forward to coming back.
good course
Played here for the first time. The greens had been recently aerated so they were bumpy and slow. This would be an easy course to walk as it is very flat and open. The indoor staff was very friendly but the starter seemed to have no personality at all. For northern Virginia, a $32 round of golf is a good value so it remains a busy course. I probably won't play again since I have lots of courses that are closer to my home but it is a solid test of your golf game.
soggy but fun course
Played in afternoon. Greens were very soft but still rolled nice. Ball marks were an issue but not so bad that they impacted putts.
Course is a bit tight in spots but greens are open in front so you can run shots on.
Pace was uneven but finished in 4 hrs; hit a bit of a pileup around 7th hole but after 10 it started flowing again.
Solid muni course that I'll play again soon.
Great Value
Friday afternoon with a great GolfNow rate ($31) made this an unbeatable way to start the weekend. Starter paired two signals with a pair to makeup a fun foursome. Pace was a little slow until about the third hole and then no more waiting for the rest of the round. Course was in great condition, with the greens rolling medium pace and smooth/true. Finish the round in just about four hours. Never did see the beverage cart/girl, good thing we were BYOB ready.
Great layout, terrible staff
So I am a local. I play brambleton maybe once a month. Today was my second time in 2 weeks playing the course. I love the layout and over all conditions of the track. Now the staff? That's another story. The week before the starter allowed a group of 3 walkers to tee off at our time when he knew we had already checked in 30 minutes prior. We were even sitting behind the three some when they decided to hit two tee shots twice. The rest of the course was wide open so we had asked the starter if we could start on 10 and he said no.
Today I decided to play again and we come to the 10th tee and are told the course I backed up. Which is not the case. We are rushed to tee off and then they have a two some start right behind us. Later we find out the two some is part of the league they have going on and were only rushing us so they could start there precious league. I'll tell you one thing, you don't rush paying customers when the course isn't even backed up. Not to mention I have a 7 handicap and play from the tips everywhere I go. I think my group would be the last group to ever back a course up. This place is simply poorly run. Looks more like a retirement home than a golf course.
