Hanover Golf Club

The course itself is fine. Was still winter conditions when I played. The greens were punched and there was still a fair bit of poana in the chipping areas. My rating reflects pace of play and unruly behavior on the course. To start I had to wait on the first for around 10 mins after my tee time to begin. The groups around me were all twosomes and singles. We were behind a three ball that were particularly slow, which normally would not be a problem if I could reasonably adjust my pace of play to stay behind. By the 4th hole there were 7 people on the tee box, the threesome, myself, a twosome and two singles. On the back nine things only worsened with highschoolers began yelling to each other across holes. Ended up skipping 2 holes to finish in 4h10m as a single.

Beautiful rolling hills countryside course. A few areas under repair but nothing major. Friendly staff. My only knock is the small “bucket” on the range consisted of a mere 15 balls.

The course is under improvement. Mostly the bunkers are getting worked, greens were pretty good. Fairways were good. It’s just a fun track to have fun with the friend that’s never played here.

My first time playing this course and it happen to be over the winter months. I thought the course played well and greens were in great condition. I personally didn’t love one or two Hole designs, but not every course it perfect.

While my golfing buddy was not a fan of hilly courses I loved the scenery it provided. Definitely a challenging course on the front 9. The back 9 was more of what we are used to. The course was in terrific shape and the leaves of fall were well blown away from the greens and fairways.

The course was in excellent shape. Stay was very helpful. Play was a bit sluggish at times but everyone on the course had gratitude for being out on the course on a beautiful day. The course played fair and rewarded you for good hits and didn't over penalize you for misses. It was one of the most beautiful courses I've played in Virginia. Highly recommend.

I’m new to the town of Ashland and this will be my home course. I unfortunately only experienced the front 9 because they had a tournament happening(not informed until I arrived). Also had to walk course because of same tournament and must say hole 6 and 9 are steep hills! If I had know that I may have rescheduled my play all together. Overall really lovely course with nice conditions and layout.

Only needs new flags on sticks since current one’s are tattered.

Great course, and pace of play! They had raked the front 9 greens but they were still very manageable.

Nice course. Back is kind of bland but the front is fun and a challenge.

I played the scores for Friday and enjoy my Ram. Nice layout Toug, but fair. I played on Friday because my golf club was playing there on Saturday. When we arrive 4 hours, 745 amt. Time on saturday. We were told that there was some confusion, and we would not be able to get off until 11. The Course management made no attempt. To rectify the situation. I played all over the country and I've never been so embarrassed and disappointed.. For that reason, I probably won't return to play the course again. Even though it's a very nice track.. I guess I said mention that my golf club is a black golf club. With on that day, 15 of us left was nowhere to play..
