Fast Greens Long Rough
The course layout was interesting. Never like blind tee shots, there were three or 4 blind tee shots. The builtin cart GPS shows the carts in front of you which helps. The carts they have are the most comfortable ones I have ever ridden in ( very nice cushioned form fitting seats.
The rough was long every where which made it hard to find balls and very hard to play out of. The greens were way to fast for a course like this. I had a Tee Times book discount so I am not complaining too much but you have to slow the greens for this course!!! The proshop adjusted my round to the Tee time discount because I had made the reservation late the night before using their online capability which was for a $38 round. We discussed their policy and I will call next time . They said I could have called and left a message and that would have worked but I didnt know that. So Great job by the pro shop employees to make me more than happy. Cut the rough and slow the greens. Ill be back. Also I played with some locals who knew the course and were very friendly and pleasant to play with ( Keith and Toby).

Great course for the price
Good course for the money, beautiful scenery and well equipped golf carts. As long as you’re not looking for immaculate conditions this course will not disappoint.

course rewards good golf shots... front nine somewhat open but on the back nine better keep the ball in play... most holes are tree lined and can add some strokes if you find them...

Value for the Money
Bowling Green North is a nice enough course, however, it desperately needs attention. Fairways are decent at best, but grass is not well kept. Greens are awful, plain and simple. Rough, rigid, and grass not in very good shape. Tee boxes were being aerated and markers simply moved into the rough without even a mowed area to hit from - unacceptable. The overall layout is acceptable, without any real challenges and provides for a good pace of play for the beginning golfer. Carts are great, with Bluetooth locator, distance to pi. Display and stereo Bluetooth connections. Overall a deal for the money, but keep you expectations low.

Alway a good value
Not my first time playing the course. Excellent value. Carts are new but they do track you by GPS. if you stray you get a warning or, worse, you get to back the cart up to the area they only want you driving on. Played on a friday in the hottest day of the year. So interpret that to an empty course. Course was in good shape. We had plenty of time to look for our balls. Course is layed out on rolling hills near Front Royal. Staff was very friendly.
