About
Situated in a lush valley bordering Blacklick Creek, Turnberry Golf Course is tucked away amidst mature forests and high fescue grasses. The course is one of seven municipal courses in the Columbus area. It has an unexpected location, which has added to its allure of being one of central Ohio's better-kept secrets. Arthur Hills designed the links-style, championship layout. At just over 6,700 yards from the back tees, this lengthy golf course tumbles across varying elevations. A cart would be best on this course. The front nine is more wooded but there is more water coming into play on the back nine. Strategically placed bunkers pose a formidable challenge throughout Turnberry, as do the fescue-lined fairways. On each hole, golfers face a tricky second shot to a small, elevated green.

not good overall
lots of trash around. not a clean facility.
halfway house needs remodeled.
cart paths in bad condition.

Booked on line, thought is was through tee off, now I know they are the same as golf now and for the second time this year was swindled by them, they booked 2 different tee times, I only made 1 and only agreed to 1 tee off time, was changed by them anyway and there was no where on the conformation page to contact them tried to replay e-mail failed.
First timer
It rained tons the day before so rating is based on that. The greens were nicely sized and challenging. Fairways on good shape. I played from the whites cuz my group wanted to so it made for a much shorter course for me but I enjoyed the numerous dog legs. I’ll definitely play here again
Not What it Used to Be
This course in the 90's was the premier course on the East side of Columbus. Not so much anymore. Overpriced, slow, and the rough is 6 different kinds of grass. You go from no cut grass to medium cut, to "looks like it has never been cut" in the same line of rough. The staff is super unfriendly....they act like they are private course. Kind of sad given what it used to be. Tried it twice this year, won't go back anymore, which stinks because it is near my home.
Today was an exceptional day to play. Staff and customers were all friendly.
Bad customer Service
We were on the 13th hole about 20 minutes till nine and we’re asked to bring our cart back and we can walk out and finish the course I was not happy to walk back to where we were would’ve taken us a good hour
Great day of golf
Good course in really good shape. Greens held very good and the pace of play was very good
Poorly maintained and rude staff
I hate to leave bad reviews but this place deserves it. Course is not worth $40 on a weekday. Crab grass all over the course, they do t cut the rough so it’s incredibly uneven, when they do cut the rough there’s massive amounts of clippings so it’s easy to lose your ball. I’ve played there a few times because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but all 3 guys working the front desk were rude, tried to get us to walk rather than ride, and insisted we return the cart 20 mins before sunset. He wasn’t even nice about it. Very slow pace. Quit after 14 holes because it was so slow. Lots of 2 groups behind a small number of 4 groups.
