About
The lush, rolling terrain occupied by Bent Tree Golf Club was sculpted into one of the most popular championship golf courses in central Ohio. Dennis Griffiths, the course's architect, seamlessly blended the design with the natural features of the landscape. The abundant natural water hazards come into play on half the holes and Griffiths strategically incorporated several well placed bunkers. The terrain's gentle undulations provide some interesting slope in the greens that place a priority on accuracy. Bent Tree Golf Club's par-4 eighth hole is especially demanding. It may be short at only 334 yards but it is surrounded by bunkers on all sides. It is followed by another tricky par 4 that requires both distance and accuracy in order to navigate the tree-lined fairway uphill to an undulating green faced with bunkers to the front and back.

Loved it!
This is the first time my husband and I played this course. It’s a challenging course, so I don’t think it’d be very enjoyable for a beginner. You can tell it is really taken care of and we will definitely be back VERY soon!
Needs some love
Disappointed in Bent Tree. Obviously over-booked because they ran out of carts and tee-times off by 45 minutes. Tee boxes were horrible, greens were slow and had all sorts of ball marks and rough patches. Fairways were okay, sand traps were horrible.
Course needs some love fast or it won’t get much play.

Zack (afternoon helper) sucks
Play this course for the first time today, was playing pretty well from the tips. Until the cart died and had to push for to holes 16 and 17. Tried to call the clubhouse, but no answer. I was not the only cart having go to juice issues. The group ahead had the same cart issue. They to got no response when calling the pro shop. To me this is completely inexcusable.
To bad to, it was a great trek. But due to the fact that ZACK din not care and the manager that was called, did not seem to be much more interested in the patron stress. If you plan to play BENT TREE, in Sunbury OH. Think again.
First time playing this course this morning. This course is gorgeous. The Tee Boxes, Fairways and Greens were all really beautiful with very well maintained grass. Will definitely be playing here more often!
Good time
Whenever possible, I definitely try to play this course whenever I can. It’s challenging but not so challenging that it deters me from golf. I am a causal golfer but really enjoy this course. The layout is beautiful and offers any golfer a good time. My only negative comment is that the sand traps were sub par compared to the usual conditions. Granted it’s mid October but still.
Challenging, but fair test of your golf skills
Wife and I enjoyed our round at Bent Tree. Played Middle and Front tees and course provided plenty of challenge with fairway bunkers and protected greens with water hazards on several holes. Fairways in good shape and greens were punched a couple weeks ago but rolled well. Overall a good public course and will enjoy playing again. Staff were friendly and club pro did us well by routing us around a private outing to complete our round in three hours. Sweet.
Just ok course
Nothing to get excited about course was a little rough, greens need attention a lot of burned out area’s.
SLOW!!
5 hour round on a Thursday morning??? Ridiculous. I don’t know if it’s a booking issue or rate of play. Either way they need to do a much better job with keeping things moving!
