Bent Tree Golf Club
About
The lush, rolling terrain occupied by Bent Tree Golf Club was sculpted into one of the most popular championship golf courses in central Ohio. Dennis Griffiths, the course's architect, seamlessly blended the design with the natural features of the landscape. The abundant natural water hazards come into play on half the holes and Griffiths strategically incorporated several well placed bunkers. The terrain's gentle undulations provide some interesting slope in the greens that place a priority on accuracy. Bent Tree Golf Club's par-4 eighth hole is especially demanding. It may be short at only 334 yards but it is surrounded by bunkers on all sides. It is followed by another tricky par 4 that requires both distance and accuracy in order to navigate the tree-lined fairway uphill to an undulating green faced with bunkers to the front and back.

A fun, tricky, little course
Bent Tree is a fun course that will challenge your course management skills. There are a few tricky tee shots and plenty of hazards to keep you guessing. It’s a fairly short course with their back tees only playing around 6.4K but don’t let the distance fool you. Long hitters get no advantage because of carefully placed bunkers, streams, and other hazards. This course will challenge you to get creative while at the same time not abuse the higher handicap golfers.
Sunday Funday
Very fun layout. Not difficult but definitely not easy. Great scenery. Great staff. Great time.
Pace of play
We had a twosome in front of us that were normally at least a hole behind the foursome in front of them. Even saying that, our foursome played in around 4.5 hours. Course was in good shape for as dry and hot it has been over the past few weeks.
Bunkers
My only complaint is if you are going to have that many traps then they should be maintained.
Derp
Course appears to be getting a lot of play, as is anywhere; they do not appear to be doing anything different to maintain course conditions. The greens were what I imagine the surface of the moon would be like: cratered beyond imagination. Lots of down trees all over the course though that seemed relatively recent. Having played this course a lot in the past it was a disappointing round and I will not be back this year.
This Course has is going downhill
I last played this course about ten years ago, the course was in pretty rough shape, the bunkers were mud holes, the green were missing some grass. The pace of play was slow, found out there was a group of five in front of us, were is the ranger? Will try a different course next time in Columbus
Hit your targets
Solid layout. Nothing intimidating yardage wise but a lot of precision is needed on the approach. You can find yourself with interesting shots if you miss and in some cases hit the green in regulation. Greens have some tricks in them so getting a two putt down is not necessarily routine. Solid shape, great staff, fun course.
Great Value
Staff is friendly, course is in good shape and enjoyed the course.
Bent Tree
Great layout, bunkers are real bad and pace is real slow
Terrific Course
5 stars. Only small complaint is lots of debris on course due to storms but other than that, great experience.
Little Pricey, but fun course
I took my 14 year old son and my 80 year old father in law. The course wasn’t in great condition, but it’s a fun and forgiving track. I think considering the shape of the course, we overpaid for green fees a little, but not enough to keep me from going back in the future.
$35 for walking is too much
The course was in good condition overall. However, there were a few greens with dead grass. The layout is fun to play and there are some tight fairways.
The only bad thing about my experience is that my golf partners and I paid $35 to walk 18 holes. If I would have known that riding carts were not available due to social distancing from COVID19, I would not have paid $35 for walking. I believe the golf course and/or Golfnow should reimburse us for our rounds.
