About
The lush, rolling terrain occupied by Bent Tree Golf Club was sculpted into one of the most popular championship golf courses in central Ohio. Dennis Griffiths, the course's architect, seamlessly blended the design with the natural features of the landscape. The abundant natural water hazards come into play on half the holes and Griffiths strategically incorporated several well placed bunkers. The terrain's gentle undulations provide some interesting slope in the greens that place a priority on accuracy. Bent Tree Golf Club's par-4 eighth hole is especially demanding. It may be short at only 334 yards but it is surrounded by bunkers on all sides. It is followed by another tricky par 4 that requires both distance and accuracy in order to navigate the tree-lined fairway uphill to an undulating green faced with bunkers to the front and back.

Not worth the money!
The course was in rough shape, the rough was very long, everything needed mowed from the fairways to the rough to the greens. The greens were fast and true which I appreciate however some of the pin placements were absolutely ridiculous. I thought the rule was that a pin placement whould atleast be a flag’s distance from the fringe, not the case on several greens. I will not likely pay $60 on a Friday to play18 holes at this track ever again, it was not worth it in my opinion.

Top notch. Nice layout. Challenging course, but worth the play.
Unplayable Sand Traps
Great condition besides the sand traps. Most all of them were unplayable, even after 2 weeks of no rain.
Yardage and bunkers
Little to no yardages available. Lines on the cart paths were about it and not applicable some holes. Nothing to speak of in the fairways on sprinkler heads. Could just some help in that aspect. Had to guess on multiple approaches and without a range finder it’s just not fun
Nice course layout
Bent tree is a beautiful little course with mature trees and rolling hills. Not long, even from the tips. There were quite a few holes with repairs in the works. Greens were firm and fairly quick. The layout is very nice but the clubhouse is in desperate need of a renovation. Bunkers had virtually no sand. Not as well maintained as it was 20 years ago but still a nice course to play.
Great greens!
- Pros: greens were fast and recently cut, hardly anyone else at the course for a 12 pm start, friendly staff
- Cons: several holes have bunkers removed or added, play as ground under repair.
Overall: Play this course if you can! The greens were rolling, excellent, and the staff is super friendly. We start at the round at 12 noon and there was no one in front of us or behind us for 5 to 6 holes. The practice green and driving range we're both open, and having electric carts on this course made the day really easy.
