#16 Par three.Auburn CG Photo submitted by PaulBader on 04/03/2013
Wonderful golf course, the front staff is a different story
Got a good deal from GolfNow for noon TT, checked in and was told by the front desk that they will announce my name. Waited for a while and my TT has passed without any announcement. I just hope on with other three some who TT is after mine.

Auburn GC
My friends and I booked as a two some with the hot deal which includes a cart. The inexperienced staff says we can only have one cart. I ask for two cart so we can each have our own. He says it will be an extra $8 charge. This make no sense at all! If we both booked separately for same tee time we with both get a cart. The price is the same with fee and tax. As a two some you just double the amount. So what is the difference? Nothing! The staff was just being a cart controller. There are plenty of carts available. He just want to make his role as cart controller. I told my friends if we ever play at Auburn GC again to just book separately for same tee time hot deal that includes a cart. Then this ridiculous antics will not happen again. We will both be guaranteed a cart and he can’t say or do anything about it! The golf course itself is fun when the weather is good. Don’t play when it is cold or windy or light rain. It’s only good during sunny weather. The greens are good even during winter timer…
I really enjoy what Auburn Golf Course has to offer. The first few holes are nothing spectacular but they warm you up for what's to come. I'd call holes 1 through 10 pretty standard for golf in this area. The real adventure begins on 11 through 15. Number 16 is a great par 3 over water and then 17 and 18 present some good scoring opportunities. The greens were in great shape and rolling well. If you're into the fall colors, they have a lot of colorful trees this time of year.
Solid course
Even though it hailed for a few holes this course is always in great shape. We got on for twilight at a steal and they even let us on about 20 minutes early. This may be the start of the off season but Auburn can be a great midweek value if you’re looking to golf at a good course in some questionable weather. See you guys again soon.
Seniors cource
It is a great course. But is does not provided range balls
A beautiful and fun golf course
This is a hidden gem and fun golf course. Highly recommended.
Auburn Golf Course
Course was damp from morning dew and lingering fog. But overall play was satisfactory. A fun course and the staff is very friendly.
Best municipal course in the South Seattle Tacoma area!
Auburn Golf Course has fast smooth greens true to the roll. Every hole is completely different in layout design and difficulties. Dog legs both left & right and some great elevation holes. Best summer golf for sure.
Lovely
The gold tee boxes have changed significantly since the last time I was here --much more friendly to women although they weren't mowed as nicely as the men's tee boxes. The pin placements were very difficult on some holes but that just adds to the challenge. Greens and fairways were well-kept. The outside door to the restrooms was locked which was unfortunate. The only backups we had were at the par-3 16th and 4th holes. We watched lots of balls hit into the water on 16. But a beautiful, picturesque setting.
Marshall Needed
Only reason I give four stars because there was no marshall around to regulate the paste of the course. I hope the day I was playing was isolated issue.
Foursome in front of us was slow playing. There were two holes open in front of them.
I like this course.
Great local course
Auburn is a nice course just outside the busy areas of Renton/Kent. Plenty of parking, club house at a welcoming, central location. Carts are in excellent shape and clubhouse very clean.
They have a nice restaurant with an outdoor patio which looks right at hole 9's green. Fun to sit outside and enjoy a beverage and food while watching people hit their approach.
The course itself is in current great condition. They beautify the greens as with most courses with a little bit of Hollywood magic that might turn it a lush color of grass, which I think is a great sign of maintenance guys taking pride in their work. Very walkable course, however there is a giant hill that goes up to the upper tier of the course at 11 which can be problematic for a lot. As well as the decline on 15 which is of course physically easier but something worth noting. 15 has an interesting tee shot from the whites/blues as you're hitting off a cliff onto the fairway some ways down. 16 is the signature par 3 that hits over the water with a waterfall in the background. Challenging and fun!
