A very nice municipal course
I had a morning tee time and teed off slightly early which was great. The course was in nice shape and I felt that this was a very good public course. The back nine takes you up onto the top of a hill and those were nice holes to play, although we got really bogged down at that point and had to wait to hit every shot for the last 5 or 6 holes. Hole 18 is a great finisher.
Surprisingly nice condition
Picked this because it was halfway between a buddy and I.
Had a very enjoyable day at a nice venue. No complaints other than it was a slow Sunday.
Best municipal course in western Washington
I’ve never been disappointed in my Auburn Golf Course experience. Jeremy and the front desk staff is wonderful. Pace of play was a bit slow due to people not observing pace of play etiquette. On this day there was a group in front of us that had two tee boxes open in front of them. You have to pass a test to drive a car, I think you should have to pass a test to play golf Friday-Thursday. Still has an amazing say on the course.
WOW
Learned to play at Auburn many moons ago. They have really stepped up their game since I was last there about 24 months ago. The tee box reconfigure at #8 is awesome, manicuring around the 9th green is really nice. The new (to me) forward gold tee boxes on many of the longer holes is desperately needed on all courses as us baby boomers continue to age but still wanna play the game. Really nice job Chris Morris (PGA Professional) and the whole team at Auburn. Keep up the great work!!!
Pace of play
I know we all are at different levels in our game but common courtesy if you're not playing as well and you see a long line of people waiting behind you it's better that people play through than to cause a backup.
Auburn GC is great
I’ve been playing this course since the early 70’s and I am impressed how it has been maintained. When I compare it to Oki courses played of late it is obvious that courses receiving good attention are fun to play and those that don’t ( sorry Oki tracts Redmond Ridge and Hawks Prairie) can be avoided. I recommend Auburn.
Hidden Gem
Great place to play if you are in the mid teens for a handicap. Par 3s are challenging the greens are firm and fast and if you play army golf like I do the fairways don’t punish you to bad. Give them a shot
R review
Course was in great shape! Fairways and greens were excellent. Staff was friendly and courteous.
