Perfect day
Weather was great, course in good condition, fun with friends
Horribly Slow Play
The 3 some in front of us was very slow, did not know what ready golf is. They did not care that they took way too long. Marshal did not do his job, kept driving his cart around and did nothing about the slow play. 5 hour round.
The good thing about Auburn golf course is the wonderful bartender in Bogeys and the cart lady. They were awesome and made you feel welcome. The gentlemen in the pro shop were good also. Get a new marshal that just doesn't just drive around a collect a paycheck.
Home course
I play the Auburn course a lot as it is the closest to my home. This round in mid-April is still in the early stages of spring recovery. The fairways are good to very good condition. I would rate the greens as excellent and they all putted very well. The weakest area of the course right now is the sand traps. The sand is all wet and very compacted. It doesn't look like they have been raked in months. These conditions cost me a stroke or two. I still enjoyed my day and will be back for more soon.
Great course rude players
Course is everything you want in golf, the only issue we had in our group was the fact that there was a group behind us that kept hitting up on us constantly to the point where they almost hit my playing partner. He got angry and yelled at this lady and she tried starting a fight with us calling him racial names and slurs.we didn't let it effect us and we finished our round out at this beautiful course.so if you can deal with crazy drunk women who don't understand how to golf than this is the course for you.
Good, but a little boring
This course was in great shape when I played it, staff was friendly, and pace of play was good. I did play after work on a weekday though, so I'm sure results might be different at busier times. My only complaint is that the course is a little boring. It's very flat and very straight, at least on the front 9. Great for practicing certain shots you might not usually use, but not the most exciting course in the area at all.
Nice Course
This course is in good shape throughout the winter and a good value for the money.
Great maintenance
Course in great condition. Very open. Fair irrigation. Tea boxes moved up for winter, excited to try and get a tea time in summer.
Hard course, but a fun one!
Intimidating holes on the course where you need to stay in play, but I love playing here.
