Riverbend Golf Complex
About
The Riverbend Golf Complex sits along the Green River in Kent Valley, Wash. Owned and operated by the City of Kent, the complex offers a championship, 18-hole course and a mini-golf course. The 18-hole course is one of the busiest in the state with more than 65,000 rounds played on it annually. The golf course sprawls across a relatively flat landscape, making it easily walkable. Though it may not be hilly, that doesn't mean it's trouble free. There are more than 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout and three lakes come into play as well. The layout is player friendly, with enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels.

Excellent golf experience
Course in very nice shape with well kept greens & friendly staff. Would not hesitate to play again
Good conditions for most part
Course was well kept with fair amount of hazards, consisting of water and sand traps. Only complaint was debris and limbs fallen from trees block some of fairways on back 9.
Greens are in very good shape for the number of rounds played there
Riverbend is in very good shape, especially the greens. Round was slow, Sunday morning and the weather was great so it brought everyone out. Not bad though all in all
Great fun and a beautifull day
Course is very flat with some holes well balanced with sand traps or trees.
88º and no water
Course was in good shape and all foursomes ahead of us moved along pretty well... a surprise for this course. We played it because it is relatively easy and works well for my wife.
My only complaint is that it was hot and the water fountain on the backside was not working and there was no water, to drink, anywhere on the course (staff should, at least, let people know that so we can bring an extra bottle of water).
Best value
Great value for 18 holes, getting in around before 10:00am is a great way to start a day for me.
Riverbend First
It was the first time playing Riverbend and my son and I enjoyed playing the course.
The only thing missing was an Ezgo Gal.
Tougher When Wet
Rained off and on - much tougher to play under these conditions and this is to be expected. Had a good time none the less. I only wish they had an outside food service. The cart lady was very nice and available.
195 yrd par 3
I love playing this 16 th hole par 3 with a water pond to the left, and bunker behind the green.
This course is great
The back nine is challengeable, watch the water on the left side. the greens are great and readable.
The pro-shop are friendly and polite.
Fun, but busy course
I played an evening after work and the course was in great shape. Pace of play was slow. Great rate through GolfNow and a lot of people took advantage? In any case, a challenging and interesting course. Lots of bunkers and water, play both sides of the river.
Nice course conditions especially the greens
Greens were firm, rolled true and firm. Good overall pace at this tee time.
Good value for round of golf which included a cart.
I'll be back again this year.
Riverbend highlight
The greens were terrific. Fairways average . Sand in traps great and well maintained
Nice course, but...
Our experience at this course was a mixed bag. The good part was the conditions on the course were great. Fairways and greens were really nice. The layout of the course was moderate difficulty with water and sand coming into play on several holes. Now the not so good part. When we arrived a noticed a commotion on the 10th fairway. A family had wandered onto the course from a nearby walking path and were yelling back at the golfers trying to wave them out of the fairway. The family wouldnt budge and starting throwing balls back at the tee box. Finally someone from the clubhouse jumped in a cart and got them out of the way. that might not have been that big of deal until it happened again on the 9th fairway. Only this time it was a couple of shirtless guys from the hotel laying in the middle of the fairway. And again they wouldnt budge when golfers tried to wave them off. we ended up teeing off over the top of them. The last 2 complaints...2 walking 5-somes in front of us making for a 5 hour round and the restaurant closes at 8PM on Sunday. So no food after a grueling 5 hour trudge. Probably will find somwhere else to golf in the future.
Check it out
Had a pleasant time there. Beer was good. Course was in good condition.
Awesome Day
It helps to write a great review when you make 9 1 putts !!!! The GREENS were in the best shape I have ever seen them. I was draining putts from 30 plus feet ! :) A most memorable trip to Riverbend. The weather started out a bit cloudy, but burned off soon and turned into a fantastic day. The fairways were dry and fast - go figure. And the GREENS, Im guessing they hired a new greens keeper , because Ive never seen them this fast- it was fun and true. Book a tee time soon - fun times if you like the greens fast.
Great conditions
Aside from the small pro shop with no one around to check me in when I arrived, this course was fun and fairly straightforward. The course seems to be well maintained with only a few muddy puddles along the way which can happen on our northwest courses in the spring. Will definitely be back to play again!
Great
Just happened to be behind a really slow foursome...in carts for goddsake. They were even driving on the par 3s!
