About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Local
Good course to play if you aren't looking for too much of a challenge. Greens are always in good shape. Restaurant opens at 9:00 and has pretty goid burgers. even though sign upstairs says 11:00.
Losing money
I love the course, but the restaurant is not open for breakfast, or open at all on Mondays. I play every Monday somewhere and it would be nice if my local course had a restaurant option for breakfast and an after round cocktail and I’m sure I’m not alone

Not worth it
Expensive for a crappy course. This course is good if you don't know how to golf and are just learning. It's short and forgiving. Greens were not in good shape, ball marks all over the place. The layout is boring and no good scenery. The pond below 12 tee box is a mud pit. The groundscrew seemed to always be in the way and not paying attention. Overall the only reason why I play it is because it's convenient to get a quick round in.

Round of golf with girlfriends
Ok so went to the Urban Elk for lunch 1.5 hours before our tee time. (Plenty of time right?) Nope the food time coming from the kitchen was horrible . The staff in the restaurant was great but it took forever for our food to be served. We had to ask for our bill so we could get checked in for our tee time.
Staff in the pro shop were wonderful no problems there yet. We arrive at hole 1 with no time to spare. No body in front of us and no one pushing us from behind.
After we teed off we realized we don't have score cards in our carts . Check the mailbox at hole #1 to see if there is any in there, nope full of garbage. We can't go back to the pro shop to get one because there are people are now behind us. Well I guess we don't need to keep score right? At the turn on 9 we get score cards (yea!) Tee off at 10 and one of carts runs outta battery. Go to the pro shop to get another cart, they tell us we probably hit the cart into neutral, (I think we know how to run a cart by this time) We get back to hole #10 and now we are the cause of the back up, grrrrr. The pro shop eventually gets us a cart that works. Well for 61.00 per person we felt we should of gotten a score card in our cart. Oh btw our cart was wet and no towels to dry the seats, ughhh. Be your own judge.

Overpriced
Booked a tee time charged full price just for the greens to be aerated and I couldn’t even putt.. slow pace of play. Won’t be returning, I recommend going to madrona links in gig harbor. Always in great shape and half the costs

Course is really overpriced, charged me full price when they just
Aerated there greens. They also like to cram as many people on the course at once, slow pace of play. I recommend heading right across the bridge and playing madrona links instead.

Good to be back but.......
My Dad and I used to play Allenmore all the time several years ago. The course changed hands, I moved away on the peninsula so we hadn’t played it in years. First the price with a cart even through Golf Now was too expensive for this course. When you take the final price including fees on this app and then compare to the actual course cost it’s not much of a savings. Then the course had punched the greens recently and they definitely weren’t back to full price form. Besides that it’s still a fun track . It’s forgiving and allows you to score well.
