About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

Good to be back but.......
My Dad and I used to play Allenmore all the time several years ago. The course changed hands, I moved away on the peninsula so we hadn’t played it in years. First the price with a cart even through Golf Now was too expensive for this course. When you take the final price including fees on this app and then compare to the actual course cost it’s not much of a savings. Then the course had punched the greens recently and they definitely weren’t back to full price form. Besides that it’s still a fun track . It’s forgiving and allows you to score well.

Waiting
Did way more waiting than golfing. There is no management of play! Played 9 in same amount of time we normally play a full round of 18.

Too slow!
4 some ahead of us was at least a hole behind. Called the pro shop, they came right out and talked to them. It helped for about 1 hole. 5 hour round is unacceptable. Went to the restaurant right at 530 to grab dinner. Plenty of people in there. We're told they are still on winter hours! Not thrilled at all.

For the most part looked and played well but the green have been punched and so a little rough but give them a couple of weeks and they should be fine

Fun to play at this course
Nice spring weather to play this course . Parking lot was full, so expected be slow pace , finished in 4hours for 18holes. Nice course in heart of Tacoma City.

Still a little soggy, more hills/slopes than the few courses I have played, friendly staff, friendly golfers, all around good day! restaurant closed on Monday’s:(
