Highlands Golf Course
About
Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma, Wash. is a nine-hole course that can be played in just over an hour. All of the holes are par 3 except for one par 4. It's not your typical nine-hole course, the layout is like a full-size course shrunken down to a par 3 with several challenging elements that will test your short-game skills. The terrain is relatively flat, making it an easy golf course to walk, and it is relatively protected from the winds. The sand traps are sparse but strategically placed, and water hazards come into play occasionally as well. Highlands Golf Course is an ideal layout for beginners to get some short-game practice, but for more advanced players it's an excellent option for a quick round that is more challenging than your average nine-hole layout.

Greens are awesome
The course is great practice for your short game. Putting and chipping were great
Lots of fun with my son.
Perfect course for kids. Also anyone looking to improve their short game as the longest hole is 190 from the blue tees. Staff is great...perfect for someone in a hurry
Great time!
Course was in great condition. Staff had me on before my scheduled tee time.
Great value
Get a tee time on golf now for 10 bucks, plays about little over hour and a half. Really like the disparity between long and short holes, really gets me ready for a championship course.
Great for Beginners
I play this course when I have less than 2 hours to spare but still play without going to the range. The best part about Highlands is how simple and straight forward it is even for a par three. My wife recently starting golfing on occasion and loves going to Highlands because it's a low key course where she doesn't feel embarrassed because she's still learning to play and is figuring out which of her clubs to use at various times.
Overall Highlands is an awesome course for everyone, from someone who wants to work on their short game with some Par 3's, to anyone just starting to play, or for the kids who want to join dad out on the course.
