Hartford Golf Club

About
Hartford Golf Club is conveniently located just outside of Milwaukee. The course has been a part of the community since 1928 when a group of local businessmen who were passionate about golf decided to come together and make the course a reality. The layout is traditional in design and player friendly enough for beginners, but it still offers a few challenges. It's a short golf course by modern standards, measuring 6,519 yards from the back tees. Water isn't terribly prominent, but golfers should be prepared for back-to-back water hazards starting with the third hole. Hartford Golf Club's 12th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards and this dogleg left is also one of the toughest. In addition to the golf course, there are also two full-length driving ranges and a three-hole practice course.

Nice round
Course was in great shape, enjoyed our round, then dinner at Dudes after was great! Stag was amazing
Hartford Golf
Course was in good shape. Regulars didn't have a problem with letting faster groups by. I will return.
Great course!
This place is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Not near the freeway by any means. Having said that those who venture out are rewarded with a well kept course that doesn't have much elevation changes and is great for walking. Carts are available. Hartford GC. Is very friendly with wide fairways and mostly big greens. The rough is kept pretty short. It's difficult to lose balls here. Difficulty Raitine (1-10) 4 I would recommend this course to friends and family.
Feeling of old school country club golf
Course itself has an old school vibe as it should since it’s been around since 1928. You could feel the history driving up, a bit like stepping back into the 1970’s. Lots of old trees and natural vegetation provide beautiful views and a relaxing experience. Not a challenging track with much trouble to get into, perfect for my first round of the year. Course conditions were fair…areas of no grass, slow greens, but it’s still Spring. For the hot deal price, it is tough to beat. For what it is, I appreciated what this course had to offer and the staff is great. I’ll be back for round in the summer to check out the conditions then. It’s definitely worth a play just for the “supper club” experience of old-timey golf.
Good Deal
Course was in good shape for this time of year and considering the amount of rain in the last few weeks. Course was not crowded and pace of play was excellent. Played with 2 beginners and did not feel rushed. Course is open enough to allow 18+handicaps to make mistakes and still find their ball. Will play this course again at this price.
First Time Pleased
Have never played the course before. Found it to be in good condition. Greens held and rolled well. Rough was challenging, fairly deep. Length was perfect from white tees for senior golfers who don't want to play forward tees. Looking forward to returning and playing there again.
Hartford
Good value for what we paid. Course was in real nice shape. Greens were very good. Bar is dingy looking with horrendous lighting. Makes everyone look jaundice. I will play there again
Poor Pace of Play
This course desperately needs a ranger! There was a group of 10-12 players who teed off before my group. Pace of play was going well til the back 9. During the last 4 holes, the twosome in front of us merged into 6 players and ultimately 10 players. Yes-10 players. We had to wait for 10 players to tee off, find their balls, hit multiple approach shots each, and putt out for the course of the last 3 holes. How is this ever appropriate?
Pace
It’s not the fault of the golf course but on the front nine we were behind two ladies and two gentlemen. 3 of the 4 should not have been on anything other than maybe a pitch and putt course. Probably took at least a dozen shots on every hole so we waited on every hole. Thankfully they only played 9 holes. Back nine went well.
