About
Hartford Golf Club is conveniently located just outside of Milwaukee. The course has been a part of the community since 1928 when a group of local businessmen who were passionate about golf decided to come together and make the course a reality. The layout is traditional in design and player friendly enough for beginners, but it still offers a few challenges. It's a short golf course by modern standards, measuring 6,519 yards from the back tees. Water isn't terribly prominent, but golfers should be prepared for back-to-back water hazards starting with the third hole. Hartford Golf Club's 12th hole is the longest on the course at 570 yards and this dogleg left is also one of the toughest. In addition to the golf course, there are also two full-length driving ranges and a three-hole practice course.

Golfer Reviews
great local course with open daytime tee times
On this day we played between rain showers, 2 hours of rain before 3.25 hours of golf and then another downpour. Our twosome got our complete round in. Need to stay straight enough to stay out of the mature trees to give you a good 2nd shot. Have played this course multiple times before, is best when there is not a lot of rain. Was in good shape even with the 2 hour rain.
great value
couse was in good shape, enjoyed the day, staff friendly
Hartford Golf Club
This course was awesome and a great value for the money. The greens were in excellent shape and no backing up or waiting. I would book this course many times more. The staff was very friendly and welcomed us to their course.
This course is an excellent value for the golfing $.
The course is a good mix of varying challenges. Greens are in top condition. Because of the lay of the land and recent weather, front nine was considerably squishy while back was in very good condition. My only critique would be that it seemed that there could have been a few things done to avoid some of the squishiness on the front nine. Some of it seemed to be an engineering or maintenance issue. All in all, a very good golf course that I would return to at any time.
guarded greens
Had a junior membership here about 13 years ago which got me on the course probably 20 times a summer. Open fairways with shorter rough makes for some great approach shots, but be careful there are perfectly placed bunkers around the green on every hole. Focus on your iron and sand shots and posting a good score shouldn't be a problem.
This course has better potential.
Due to recent weather conditions, the course was in pretty rough shape but the greens were pretty good. Fairways were spotted with dead patches which need attention. Requested to start the round on the back due to amount of foursomes waiting at the first tee, which they granted. Pace of play was pretty good until making the turn for the second nine. Joined a single as two foursomes ahead were slowing up play. Recommendation: require carts on weekends and add a course ranger ~ slow play in part due to walking foursomes?
Lots of water
Front 9 extreemely wet - cart path only and even then huge puddles. Back 9 was dry with no water.
ok
Have some burned out fairway areas but greens were great.
