Great place to practice
This course is close to fixing the layout but the fringes are a disaster from last year and still have yet to be fixed. Other courses would have resided and fixed the fringes. The problem now is chipping on to the green and it's so in even and pitted the the ball can go anywhere. This is also the third year that hole 7 is open but is still in putt able. You're paying to play 18 holes and you get 16 because I forgot to mention 4 has been under water and the green is also unplayable. Great service and food on site. It's a practice course for readiness on the real courses.
I’d come back
I thought the overall course was nice. It is tight and some tee boxes you need to have your head on a swivel. Shooting over the river while kayakers float by is unique. The edges of the greens were ROUGH, overall I would play here again.
Old soft shoes
My brother and I play here as often as possible. The course is always in great shape and considering the flooding recent rains it was superb. Length is on the short side but the tightness of the fairways along with many sand traps make for a great course.
Horrible pace of play
Have never played such a slow round at Browns. Horrible group in front would not allow us to play through. To be transparent, we are all sub 10 handicap players.And had to wait 10-15 minutes on every hole. It to mention on some shots throughout the front and back. Grass was US Open long and the provisional green on #7 is getting old. Now let’s talk about the Beverage Cart, or should I say lack of Beverage Cart. Playing a 11am round and being told the Beverage Cart would be available at 4:30. Really??? Last time we’ll play Browns Lake GC for sure
County needs to step up
This course was in rough shape sad to see the county letting this course fall to the wayside. Fairways were long and like hitting out of rough on normal course, rough was more like links course making it hard to find your ball just off the fairways. Greens were mostly damaged and I could put better on my own lawn at home.
A Little Bit Of Chaos
I picked an early tee time to get a quick round in. There were many people in golf carts just sitting off on the side of the course at different holes. They had golf bags in their cart so don’t know why they were just sitting there. Also some golfers don’t know proper etiquette when you are playing.
