Maplecrest Country Club
Opened in 1929, Maplecrest Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Kenosha County. It is conveniently located a surprisingly short drive away from Chicago's northern suburbs. This challenging public course has long been a favorite amongst locals both for the playable design and the affordability. The golf course is relatively flat although there are a few subtle contours that can cause some tricky uneven lies. Watered fairways and fast greens protected by bunkers provide the bulk of the course's challenges though it is still quite forgiving if your shots are slightly errant. It is a course that beginners can approach with confidence but it still has plenty to offer for more advanced golfers. One good example is the difficult green on the sixth hole, which stands out as one of the toughest in the area.

Very friendly staff. Course was in good condition. Only complaint is the holes aren’t marked. With the course being a title tight in spots it was difficult to know what hole you should g to. Otherwise was a nice course.
Today was a great day for golf and everyone knew it. the course was crowded and we had to wait 2-5 minutes per all 18 holes before we could T off. as crowded as it was, everyone remained friendly.
Could use some work, but fun course
There were some really nice features and amenities, but the rough was a little long and the sand traps were more like dirt traps. Greens were a little slow, with new grass coming in but decent otherwise. Not the best for ladies, I struggled to make a lot of the fairway and the thick roughs made for a long day. Overall, it was a pretty good round for the price, and they're making improvements so I would definitely go back.
Like the course layout and the greens are much improved from earlier in the year.
Great staff, inexpensive, 18 holes in 3 hr. REAL SAND IN SANDTRAPS! Grass was beautiful
Course has great layout and fun to play. Fairways are coming in nicely but green and sand traps need some work. A good course for the money and to work on the long game. There are a few long yardage holes.
nice an green greens roll nice but have a lot damage
