Opened in 1929, Maplecrest Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Kenosha County. It is conveniently located a surprisingly short drive away from Chicago's northern suburbs. This challenging public course has long been a favorite amongst locals both for the playable design and the affordability. The golf course is relatively flat although there are a few subtle contours that can cause some tricky uneven lies. Watered fairways and fast greens protected by bunkers provide the bulk of the course's challenges though it is still quite forgiving if your shots are slightly errant. It is a course that beginners can approach with confidence but it still has plenty to offer for more advanced golfers. One good example is the difficult green on the sixth hole, which stands out as one of the toughest in the area.

Fun course I would go back again. Well kept greens.
Value for the money
Nice course for the money. Would go back. The greens are large and role well.
Good Course
Played for the fall rate. Staff was friendly. the course was empty due to the weather. Grass was in great shape. Sand is a little hard. Needs to be broken up or better sand added. Greens were good.

Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. In the pro shop got some helpful hints for the course. . Would definitely play again.
Nice place in a hidden area.
Me and buddy got a nice deal to play Maplecrest country club through golf now. The course is pretty old school. Very straight and tall trees. Not much definition between fairway and rough. The course was in pretty good shape considering the price. Greens were in good shape, a little slow but in good condition. If your in the area and want a nice relaxing round with out anyone bothering you this is a good place.
Stay out of the tree lines or your score will go UP UP UP.
Got stuck behind the high school girls team that were walking while we were riding and that made for a long front 9. Maple Crest you could send us a free round to make up for that little mistake if you'd like. Would like to play there again and I'm sure I will. Nice course, hopefully you'll get some rain today, a little dried out, but they all are! Oh, and tell that cute little blond bartender KC says Hi. Only wanted 3 beers, she talked me into 6. GOOD JOB!
Decent
Good value on Tuesdays or with Fire deals. Otherwise just an okay course. Off the beaten path. Course was in decent shape for this time of the year.
Fir challenge for seniors
The course is well maintained. Lots of trees especially on the back nine.
The course would be quite difficult for senior golfers except for the fact that the gold tees are well forward on the most difficult holes.
The greens were in great shape but do have some relatively severe down hill puts which can run fast.

Happy, relaxing Course
Even if the wait at the tee was short the course is very nice & relaxing. I had the opportunity to golf with Adam who is a very polite young man that works there. With so much love for the game he made the first nine holes go by so fast the he had to work at the course. Bill at the desk is extremely funny & full of helpful advice which really helped my game. Improve a lot. Would send my friends & family to this course. Prices are good on food & drinks along with golfing prices. Enjoy!
This "was" a great course
The layout and beauty of this course still remains, however the total lack of grounds maintenance does it injustice. From weeds and grasses growing tin the traps, to poorer cut fairways, to slow greens offset any of the former beauty. I will not use the two Extra passes I purchased. Pay a little more for any other course.
Good course
Course was in good condition and pro shop staff was friendly. Cart girl was rude no personality and seemed very unhappy to be their. Other than that course and round went great.
Good time
The wife and I enjoyed our day on the course. The course is in good shape and being a week day we were not pressured nor did we have to wait. fully enjoyed.

Overall I liked the course. It was in great condition and was well priced. The employee in the pro shop was very friendly however the cart girl wasn't in the best mood. Other than that the experience was good.

Very friendly and excellent service. Greens rolled true. Course in decent shape and great value for the dollar. Only complaint was that the tee boxes are hard as a rock? With all the rain we had over the past month, how can this be? Must have a soil issue or something. You literally almost need to pound your tee in the ground to get the tee in. Very strange!

Course was in outstanding shape. And the price was unbelieveablely cheap. Would definitely play again.
Nice long course
If it was not for my inabilty to hit my drives straight off the tee box on this day I would have been happier. But even still it was enjoyable and we had a good day.
