NorthWood Golf Course

About
Northwood Golf Club provides a pleasant getaway that has the advantage of being less crowded than a metropolitan course and the convenience of being less than three hours north of Wisconsin's major cities. The peaceful feeling of seclusion is enhanced even further by the course's location just minutes from hundreds of lakes as well as the Pelican and Wisconsin Rivers. The golf course plays across rolling, wooded hills. Mature trees frame the holes and they helped to carve the shape of the challenging doglegs. Northwood is a course that will test your accuracy but it is also more forgiving than it seems. There are a few holes featuring water hazards including the par-3 11th, which has an island green. Wind is also a factor on many holes.

Pleasant surprise!
Booked at the last minute and very glad I did ! Only problem was cart path only, but a big rain the day before so it was expected. Awesome course.
Visiting Rhinelander
This course is one of the best designed courses in the northwoods. Love the layout, and rewards great ball striking. It’s one of the tightest fairways you will play. The course condition is just average compared to others around. It’s not as good as it use to be. If your in the area definitely play it.
Hidden gem!
Love it! Keep up the good work on the course! Waterfall a plus!
Beats Kohler anyday
This course by far exceeded any and all expectations I had, to be honest I figured it would be a decent course and for $32 each inc. cart I would happily have paid $100+.
Scenery and tee box lay out it perfect, hole location spot on, if you want to impress someone bring them here. I’ve played Kohler, black wolf run even Rich harvest farms and this was better and wayyyy cheaper.
I was so impressed it rained and we kept playing with smiles on our faces.
You will not be disappointed.
Hidden gem
Course was in perfect condition. Greens were perfect, rolling fast but fair, and not a ball mark to be found. Fairways and tee boxes were also in perfect shape...not a bad spot or lie. Course conditions were as nice as our private clubs, and majority of other clubs. Super friendly staff too. Play it!
Best in the North
Great course and always in tournament shape. Best greens I've ever played
This is a must stop any time your within a hour of Rhinelander
Best value in Wisconsin
We played in September golf and cart in the fall is $50.00 plus you can return within 10 days for a half price replay
5 stars
course conditions negleted
Greens were in the process of being ariated (ariated greens were the best things on the course). The fairways were 1.25 to 1.50 long and areas of the roughs looked like they had not been mowed in a couple of weeks.
Check with the pro shop on course conditions before booking a tee time.
Beautiful
This is the prettiest north woods course I have ever seen. The fairways are narrow but stunning. The greens in excellent condition. The staff was accommodating.
Beautiful course, staff attitude is a minus
Simply but this course is beautiful. So are quite a few others in the area (Bass Lake, Pinewood, etc). The other courses are priced a little more reasonably and the attitude of the staff at Northwoods make them better deals in my opinion. That being said, I still make it a point to deal the attitude of the staff buck-up a little extra and play this classic. This course is a must if you are in the area. I would take time to check out the other two mentioned above as well. The are equally as unique and a little less difficult.
Good Course
This course is full of greenery and great place to play golf. I would recommend it to all my friends.
A very Good Golf Course
I had a great experience in this golf course. I would recommend this to all my friends to visit it.
