Links at Gettysburg
About
The Links at Gettysburg sprawls across rolling hills situated near the hallowed grounds where the defining battle of the Civil War took place. The golf course wages a formidable challenge itself, featuring 35 steep rock cliffs where the stone-lined tee boxes are perched and 10 lakes and waterfalls that come into play throughout. Red rock cart paths give a contrast to the lush greens and sparkling blue waters. The dramatic elevations allow golfers to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside but the scenery can be almost too distracting since the demanding layout requires all of your attention. Be prepared for a bevy of strategically placed bunkers as well as mature trees. With the challenging layout and unrivaled views, it is no surprise that the Links at Gettysburg is ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in Pennsylvania.

The guy still works at the course after an overt racism situation. They support his actions or he would be FIRED!!!! Photo submitted by u9215442 on 06/24/2020

A Beautiful Course
Very pretty course that requires good driving to score well.
I'm going back
Fun course with several greens dug out of the side of hills leaving a rock wall backing the green. Greens and fairways in good shape. It is a course that you will have to play several times to know where shots should land to stay out of trouble.
Great Course
Great experience at the Links at Gettysburg. From the moment you pull the car up everyone is very accommodating. Course attendants clean your clubs and place them on the cart. Course in great condition. Worth the $78 dollars. Will definitely be playing here again.
Great shot makers course
Demanding tee shots and few driver holes. Locals really helpful because it is tough to know where to aim sometimes. Greens had been relatively recently aerified and were a little slow and bumpy - can't wait till it grows in to play it again. Not overly long, interesting.
Worth the drive!
This course has been on my list for a while. There are frequently good deals on Golf Now here. I paid a rate that I would expect to pay for a dog track course. What I experienced was nothing short of superior. The facility is immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. The course was being prepped for spring but was still in excellent condition. I thoroughly enjoyed the lay out. There are a lot of water hazards and devilishly placed bunkers the contend with, and it's long. Bring your driver, there won't be a lot of laying up.
overpriced
What I dislike about this course is that they don't encourage walkers and they have a locals' discount but you have to know that, because they sure won't mention it. They book a lot of events and these folks will take precedent over you, poor golfer. Be prepared to pay top dollar and be treated like less.
OK for winter time
The course was sopping wet and the greens were not very smooth. to be able to play in the winter in this area is just a bonus, so we take what we can get. I have played this course many times and it is usually in great shape!
A surreal feeling
I was excited to play here. The course is very expensive but the Golf Now hot deal price made it affordable. As I stood on the first tee I had this surreal feeling that I had never had before on a golf course. I could tell this course was going to be different than any course I had previously played. Even though it's a links you need to fly your approach shots on the first three holes onto the green. The course really opens up beginning on hole 4. The front nine is more interesting than the back nine. As some people have commented the back tends to be repetitive at times. Even though I played in December the course was well maintained and the scenery was beautiful. I was appreciative of the ball and club washers on my golf cart. I brought my camera and took many pictures. My favorite holes include: 1. Dog leg left par 4 to a nice looking elevated green. 3. Par 3 where you are on an elevated tee hitting over a creek and into a wooded cavern. 4. An easy and scenic par 5. 8. Short dog leg left par 4 that requires a precise tee shot. 18. Very pretty par 5 finishing hole. The hole I hated? The par 5 7th. An impossibly long hole with water coming into play on both sides for your first and second shots.
Golf in dec
Great day second time playing here . No sand in the traps but it is December. Can't wait to play this place in the spring
Great Fall Day
On a Sunday in late October, I played the Links of Gettysburg. The course was in excellent condition, the service of the employees was also spectacular. I would definite recommend the course to anyone that asked.
Windy
Played here on an extremely windy day, from the blues, first time here. Good thing the others in the group had been here, several holes require a tee ball that's less than D and pretty precise in regards to direction and length. The course was REALLY soggy due to heavy rains the past day or two, so cart path only throughout the course, which really slowed down play.
Front nine I found interesting, the back nine markedly less so. Even though the Golfnow price was excellent and the course in great condition (except for the water) I will think twice about returning just becasue of the lack of variety on the inward half.
nice course
Couldnt find the first hole. First and second hole very strange big dogleg and 2nd hole dogleg and elevated green.
Very challenging course the rest of the course was set up nicely.
Very nice course.
A good challenge. Some blind tee shots (#1 should carry a verbal description or advice at the reception counter). Well maintained. Some very pretty holes. I'd play it again.
Well Worth Playing
Played this course as a single, but was paired up with another single. Played from the Blue tees and had a thoroughly enjoyable day. The course is an interesting design with plenty of elevation changes and good variety to the hole designs, both in terms of length and movement. There are one or two unusual doglegs where the line of play isn't readily apparent off the tee. Taking a course guide book is a good idea for first time visitors. The fairways are fairly generous and kept in excellent shape. There is water in play on several holes placed so that bad shots get wet and good ones get rewarded. The greens have quite a bit of movement and at the speed they were the day I played, you don't want a downhill putt on them. Probably rolled 10.5-11 on the few flat spots but 13+ downhill. All in all a good test of golf. Pick the right tees and you'll enjoy this course. I know I'll be back.
Glad we went
We were visiting Gettysburg and wanted to play golf. The course is nearby, well-maintained and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Beautiful course and conditions
Greens were running fast so it took a little time to adjust. Bunkers were perfect, a little local knowledge is a help. Expected GPS in carts was disappointed that wasn't the case.
A Great Experience!
Was able to play during the week so course was not crowded. The course was again challenging and makes you think before taking a shot. The fairways great, rough fair and greens fast. It took a few holes to read the speed of the greens! Overall a great outing!
Links of Gettysburg
Staff very accommodating. Paired a single up with our group of three. Excellent weather. Course appears well played but in very good condition overall. Some mushy spots from watering. Pace of play was very good but it was mid week in the afternoon. Very challenging layout; high handicappers will not enjoy. Pricey for the southern PA area. Would definitely recommend to better golfers.
Love it here!
Its been a few years and I had forgotten how challenging a course the Links at Gettysburg is,
everybody from the pro shop help to the starter, bartender to the grounds crew were genuinely nice.
The greens had just been aireted(sp?) , and I still enjoyed myself immensely.
