Nestled between the Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea volcanoes, The Village Course at Waikoloa (formerly known as Waikola Village Golf Club) has a beautiful and unique location that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The verdant, rolling terrain is dotted with stands of young trees and lakes that were incorporated into the golf course’s design. Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course’s designer, tried to maintain the natural assets of the landscape while adding a few challenges such as fairways bunkers and doglegs. The golf course also features traditional raised greens that are subject to forceful prevailing winds. Although the course is challenging enough for the serious golfer, the relaxed pace and beautiful scenery appeal to players of all skill levels. Smoke rising from Mauna Loa in the background
Loved seeing a bit of Mauna Loa erupting in the background. I paid for my wife to ride and the time she had and the company she provided made my day. Weather was perfect and staff was nice.

Course layout great - Robert Jones Jr design. Course conditions were slightly below expectations. Pace of play very slow with several 5-somes on a Wednesday! No amenities on course.

Very reasonable
Greens are in great shape but some of the fairways and rough have damage from the nenes. Nice layout.
Course can and did play extremely slow with a group a few holes ahead having 2 open holes in front of them and no marshals. Still if you can get a good price its one to play.
