Makani Golf Club

We have played this course several times over the last three years. Right now it’s probably in the toughest shape. We’ve played it. The greens were punched a little over two weeks ago, but are still pretty slow and bumpy. The punched holes are still not healed over yet and probably won’t be for another two weeks.

The rough is very thick if you go in it’s hard to find your ball sometimes and they don’t appear to be mowing the rough in many areas often.. The fairways typically carry much further too so the rain from a few weeks ago is still impacting play.

The clubhouse was decimated by the recent storms and now in a small trailer is set up to check in. They do have some Golf supplies in the trailer.

Really not worth playing this course unless you get a good deal under $80. But will be worth it in a month from now.

We have played here a lot - the layout is great - they are in the process of rebuilding a club house - staff was great - greens had recently plugged and sand all over them - sand traps have not been touched

poor maintenance, rough hadnt been cut for a week, could be a beautiful course, too bad there is a lack of maintenance.

Even though the greens were sanded and the fairways just punched it was still a challenge and playable. It has been so much improved over the years. Great golf course!

we have been playing here since 2022. The conditions have steadily improved, very good progress over last 2 years. The course still needs work but appears the effort is being made.

Owners need to up the maintenance budget to get the course to its full potential, this will significantly improve overall revenue

Golf Shop apparently is going to get a new skin (siding) which is long over due

Was able to get a great rate on Golf Now. $58 for 18 holes.

Course layout, views, staff attentiveness and friendly demeanor made this a very fun day. Greens need a great deal of attention and care, likely due to record rainfall last week, otherwise a great course and day.

Course layout is good. Today was a bit too windy. Course Pro Shop is and has been in disrepair. Rough is a bit tall, and putting greens roll fine. Value was good for the money.

The course was a fun layout and the conditions were good. My main complaint was the condition of the rental clubs. The irons were dirty.

Looks like the clubhouse needs a new roof as tarps were flapping in the wind.

Greens were bumpy in spots but playable. Fairways were bare in spots. Tee boxes were also barren. In general the course was dried out needing some water. Sand traps actually had sand in them occasionally with grasses and/or weeds. Loved 17 and especially 18.
