Nestled between the Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea volcanoes, The Village Course at Waikoloa (formerly known as Waikola Village Golf Club) has a beautiful and unique location that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. The verdant, rolling terrain is dotted with stands of young trees and lakes that were incorporated into the golf course’s design. Robert Trent Jones Jr., the course’s designer, tried to maintain the natural assets of the landscape while adding a few challenges such as fairways bunkers and doglegs. The golf course also features traditional raised greens that are subject to forceful prevailing winds. Although the course is challenging enough for the serious golfer, the relaxed pace and beautiful scenery appeal to players of all skill levels. Locals often consider The Village Course at Waikoloa one of Hawaii’s best-kept secrets.

Get what you pay for
Less expensive but for a reason. The driving range was terrible, no good grass to hit off of. The greens were slow and didn't roll true at all. Wasn't much for views but if you Wanne golf without paying a lot come here
Great course. Wonderful views
We really enjoyed our game. Course is in great shape.
Only con was the group holding up everyone on every hole. Taking selfies after each hole they played. 3 holes open in front of them - this was the entire back nine. Could have used a Marshall to push them along.
Shout out to the staff and the drink cart fella. Excellent service.
Good condition and affordable place to play
We lived on the third hole green for 3 weeks. So golfing here was like playing in your backyard.
This course was in better shape than other that were charging twice as much.
Nice layout, forgiving enough.
Lots of wide fairways. But greens protected by bunkers.
Good Day for Golf
The course was ready and I was ready. Great views on a cloudless morning. Staff was very helpful and friendly. After golf refreshments were delicious. Parking was ample. Watch for nene geese.
Play and enjoy
Played two other courses no beverage cart! We saw beverage cart lady twice. Wide open fairways and got lucky no wind the day we played. Definitely recommend play early finish early loved it.
Needs work
The fairwat grass is like the rough at other courses. Spongy greens (yes spongy). Late morning teeoff was almost 5 hour round with sometimes four groups on a hole with open holes ahead (marshalls were out but doing nothing). The course has a great layout but it needs a lot of work.
We really like this course, but Dec 9 the course was SLOW, SLOW, SLOW
