Classic Golf Course at Otsego Club
About
The Otsego Club offers two 18-hole championship golf courses, the Classic and the Tribute. The courses share a beautiful landscape abundant with water, trees, and wildlife but each course offers different challenges. Built in 1939, the Classic Course, as its name would imply, has a traditional layout that is straightforward with no hidden tricks or hazards. The golf course sprawls across scenic parkland that overlooks the nearby Sturgeon River Valley. Unlike some of the long and more demanding golf courses in the Gaylord area, the Classic Course plays a mild but enjoyable 6,267 yards from the back tees. The greens are fast and the player-friendly fairways are wide and welcoming to beginners. The course finishes with its signature hole, a par 4 where golfers will be hitting from one ski slope to another.

Good but great
Average is not bad, but there are many courses in the area. This one is worth playing, but I can not say that I would play it again before trying others.
Simply Enjoyable!
My only complain is that there needs to be a few more bathrooms added to the course. After the third hole we didn't find one till after the 12th hole. My daughter found this unacceptable!
A Noth Michigan Must Play
This is a cant miss course. Found a great deal on golfnow and took advantage. Best golf decision I've ever made. Great condition, scenery, layout and staff. If you get a chance to play this challenging course, don't miss is.
Beautiful views
I almost feel urged to not talk this course up....wanna keep it a secret!!! Wonderful golf course that you could play every day...staff is great, not cocky and in your face like T tops.. Down the road... Same mountain... A fraction of the cost.
Staff , Clubhouse all super friendly
Staff .Mark in Clubhouse all super friendly and polite
Right up there with Treetops' Masterpiece for a fraction of the cost!
It was like playing Robert Trent Jones courses, Treetops' finest and better than most of Boyne Highlands' courses and reasonable! My teenage son and had a fantastic time. We played behind a foursome that slowed down our front 9 so we slowed down with them, hit afew practice putts or irons on the tees or an extra approach on the par 3s and enjoyed the heck out of the Tribute. Unbelievable layout. I'd go back in a heart beat!
