needs upkeep
Many tee boxes were terrible, tee boxes should be moved to for new growth. was hoping for more grass on fairways. I will say the greens were excellent, true and fast. Should have been a Marshall out as we were just my wife and I stuck behind 4 very slow older men who should have left us play through. Took 5 1/2 hrs to complete 18 holes. Not going back.
Was good...once
Have always enjoyed the layout. Over the years the conditions have slowly but steadily deteriorated. Greens are fairly quick but fairways and tees are sparse. Off the fairway? Mixed bag of whatever was there but gets by without maintenance. So sad to see this interesting track die a slow death. ...and 5 hour round due to 7 minute sspacing.
challenging when windy
humid and windy a tough combination for this coarse.
the coarse was in good condition. better than most i've played recently.
greens were in very good shape.
play was a little slow
Great couse for the area and the money!
We play here yearly as it is the only decent course we have found in the area for a decent price. We had a few spits of rain but the conditions of the course did not change. The greens are fast, but a fun fast, not a painful fast. There is a lot of dormant grasses but that gives you tremendous roll on and off the fairways. The greens were not missing any grass, nor did we see any patches in the fairways. We played in the afternoon on both Tuesday and Thursday, Tuesday was painfully slow but we played a 4 hour round on Thursday. The tee boxes were a bit torn up by the time we played but it looked as if they were doing a good job keeping them playable. We love this course and will play every year as we journey over this way!!!
Slow
Course was in great shape, except for several tee boxes fairways & greens were excellent
Play was very slow, over 5 hours to play & there were 2 of us . Every hole had at least one 4 some & most had 2 waiting
Would not play again
Course is worn out. Need a little TLC. 300 plus rounds a day doesn’t help. Not enough carts. Dirty. Should be cleaned daily. Staff was helpful but just overwhelmed by all the golfers.
decent but EXTREMELY SLOW course
The pace of play is the worst thing about the course, which is in better shape than most public courses around Clearwater. Some Bardmoor fairways, though, have turf of the adjacent rough. The greens are consistent, and moderate to slow.
Pace of play was terrible. Course was stacked. It took us 30 minutes from the tee time to hole #2 tee box.
2 hours to play five holes.
3 hours for nine holes.
5 hours to play 12 holes
5.5 hours to finish 18 holes.
Many players quit before the fourth or fifth hole!
Truth be known
The fairways were well kept and the greens were in good condition . What more could a guy ask for? Although the pace of play could have been better managed.
Course was overbooked. Had to wait for a golf cart 15 minutes. Made it to the tee box on time but waited 30 minutes to start. No starter to keep play moving. Only played 8 holes due to slow play and darkness.
6 hour round!
totally over booked , 2 to 3 groups deep on every tee. completely ridiculous. 6 hours to play says it all!!!
Good but overpriced
Not a 100 dollar track. But they jack the price up for tourist. So it is what it is. Several greens were thin and approaches rough fairway and tee boxes good.sand needs changed out in some bunkers. Good old as for pace of play. They book tee times way too tight
Slow 5 hour rounds
Better get off the team early otherwise you’re guaranteed a 5+ hour round
A terrible experience
It took us just over 5 1/2 hours to play 18 on a Friday afternoon. We should have seen it coming when they told us we couldn't get a cart until 15 minutes before our tee time because they didn't have enough.
With tee times every 7 minutes and no shortage of 4+-somes out on the course (we never saw a ranger anywhere), we waited on every hole. It didn't help that there was very little discernable rough, the course was firm, and water is in play on most of the holes, so a lot of players spent a lot of time perusing their local water hazard.
The staff were friendly, though. So that was nice.
Quit at 16
After 5 hours and 30 minutes i was tired
Obviously overbooked
Courses nicely laid out. Greens are fast. There's a fair amount of water on the course and the bunkers are in good shape.
Unfortunately the issues run with the management of the course. The clubhouse doesn't have enough employees to meet the needs. There was an issue with the golf carts none were available I had a 4:00 p.m. tee time and I didn't get a golf cart till about 4:10.
