The Champions Club at Summerfield is an 18-hole championship course ingeniously routed through a briny wetland three miles from the Atlantic. This Tom Fazio design meanders through natural marshes and vegetation. Its 6,800 yards from the tips and each hole features multiple tees for players of all skill level.
Summerfield has received a commendation from the Audubon Society. You will encounter plenty of birds and wild life at this environmentally sensitive course.

Green lighting
I golfed Jan 8, 2025. The course was in good shape. I don't mind fast greens, but these were lighting fast. Don't get me wrong, the greens were in great shape. It's just something I'm not use to.

Very nice course
Pace of play was good. Greens were fast and well maintained, some tee boxes need attention or better tee marker placement (tee markers should not be placed so you’re teeing off dirt/sand. Remainder of course in very good condition. New carts with GPS are a bonus. Played in the a.m., hopefully an afternoon round will result in an equally good pace of play which was not the case last year.

Greens are very fast !!!
The greens are in excellent condition, and really a challenge to putt on. BUT if you like fast greens, this is the place.
The only downside is for players who have issues off th tees, the dense vegetation is very close to the fairlways. HC players higher than 25 would lose a bunch of balls.

Soggy Course
Usually we love playing Summerfield but today it was super soggy. Not the course’s fault but it was very muddy. Played slow on front as there was a very slow threesome in front of us and it was cart path only. Got ahead of them at the turn so played the back 9 in record time! Looking forward to the course drying out. Have to mention the greens were in good shape.
