About
The Champions Club at Summerfield is an 18-hole championship course ingeniously routed through a briny wetland three miles from the Atlantic. This Tom Fazio design meanders through natural marshes and vegetation. Its 6,800 yards from the tips and each hole features multiple tees for players of all skill level.
Summerfield has received a commendation from the Audubon Society. You will encounter plenty of birds and wild life at this environmentally sensitive course.

The course was dry. The greens were lightening fast but putted true. Staff was exceptionably helpful and friendly.

Way too slow
It took 2h45 to play the front 9. Unacceptable !
we were not able to complete the back nine.before dusk.
Where was the Marshall to speed up things !
Fairway quality is much better on back 9.
Our foursome drove one hour to come to your course. Beautiful course but overall, very disappointing .
We are sorry for your disappointing round at Champions we pride ourselves on 4 hour and 15 minute rounds during peak season we have 2 rangers on the course at all times. Please give Champions another opportunity for you to enjoy our fabulous facility. During peak season is is always best to try and play earlier in the day. Feel free to contact me anytime.

GREAT Value - Pure greens
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this golf course. VERY pleasant staff. The greens were VERY pure and true - were rolling a solid 10-11. They were the quickest and best greens we played this week (6 rounds), and this was the lowest cost course we played! Tee-to-green the course condition was 8/10 - very happy with that. Great tee options for various skilled golfers. If you're a low-handicap player, the tips are no joke here - 6,800 but on a fairly tight course.
Plenty of room on the driving range (hitting off grass too). Nice chipping green and very large putting green - both true to the course greens. We played here twice. Both rounds were done in 4 hours (and the course was packed). The clubhouse was suitable for this course. Plenty of seating if you want to have brunch/lunch or early pub-type dinner. Yes, the clubhouse closes around 6:00 this time of year, but that's pretty common - just plan ahead or eat elsewhere if you have a late afternoon round. We had lunch after 1 of our rounds - great pork sandwich and burger. We will revisit this course when traveling to FL again. I'd say you can book with confidence. it's a 4 star golf course, but a very highly recommended 4 star course in my book!

Nice course
Great layout and the greens are fast and smooth. New superintendent is doing a lot of work and improvements. Staff is terrific

The staff is super friendly, New carts , The Layout is very good, and the Greens are Phenomenal
These greens are as good or better than any Private CC.

Course Conditions and Play
This is a beautifully designed course but it is in subpar condition. While the greens and bunkers are ok, the fairways need re-grassing and more watering to reduce their hardness. In addition, for a first-time player, the lack of providing players a map of the layout, given the absence of a GPS system, makes it very difficult to exactly know where the hazards are. The course also doesn't have any comfort stations, although players do return to the clubhouse after the 9th hole should they need one.
One final note - the pace of play is set at 4 hours 15 minutes, which is way too long for this course. By the 3rd hole, we were waiting at every tee box for the group ahead to clear and again when ready to hit to the green and still finished in in 4 hours and 10 minutes. The pace of play should be in the 3:45 to 4:00 hour range.

I definitely like the fact that the only golfers you see are the ones on the hole you are playing
Like the course layout and the way you see only the golfers on the hole you are playing is great !. Greens were exceptionally fast . Could make them more amateur friendly. A 11 on stimp would be more playable however would not let that keep me from playing the course again .

Only this problem
We were a twosome, 2:12 pm tee time. We’re in back of a foresome that was backed up by another foursome that were slow as anything, looking for balls and taking forever to leave the green. Most of all no Ranger to take a peak and to keep play going at a nice pace. Every hole we came too the group was still on the tee box, and never made a jester to allow us to pass them. My guess that it’s Florida in the winter and up North it’s very cold.
Good afternoon, you are certainly correct that it is cold up north! The golf course is extremly busy with four-somes. Playing a two-some at 2:00 is always going to seem slower. My suggestion is to bring a foursome, we apologize for not being able to pair you up with another two-some.Hope to see you agin soon.

Friendly Place…Great Golf
