Nice Surprise!
I was very impressed with the very interesting layout of the course. It was very fun, challenging, but not too challenging. Some of the best maintained sandtraps in this area.
Frustrating
The course was as well maintained as it could considering the lack of rain. We could have played 18 in under 3 hours if other players were considerate.
The rangers were no help in speeding play.
This being said we finished in just over 4 hours…. We waited on EVERY shot. The group before us was part of the issue, but it did appear that play was just not moving.
Maybe too many groups, or residents that felt no pressure to move along??
getting better all the time
Have been playing here for several months using the hot deals, the greens are getting better each time, fast enough but controllable. The layout is fun, but several holes are just copies of other holes, like several par threes. Always have a great time at Stonecrest.

Great layout and in good shape. Some t-boxes need some work. Question regarding the areas on greens that look burned out. But overall good shape.
Great course
The course was in good shape. Like ever course in Florida we need rain
Still Getting There
The course seems like it is still improving but has become stagnate. I loved this course at one time. It was my wife and I favorite now it needs some work. Would love to play it all the time
Shabby Condition
Course is in very dry, shabby condition compared to other comparably-priced public courses in the area. You can do better.
Warm DAY IN VILLAGES
Overall course fain needs water Bad like most of state of FLORIDA greens fair hard roll fine
Dry conditions
The layout of Stonecrest is one of the best in the area. The fairways are very dry probably due to a lack of rain in this area the last few weeks. Greens and t boxes are still pretty good. Course looks like it needs more water reserves.
So much potential!
The texture of the course is awesome, many hills and valleys but that is the only good feature of the course itself. Weeds everywhere, fairways with no grass. Tee boxes full of weeds and if there was grass on the greens it was all dried out.
If it was free it still would not be worth your time. It's a shame because the clubhouse seemed nice and the staff were top notch. This course has so much potential with the hills and valleys and a good layout. . All it needs is someone to care about its condition.
