Greens need major help
Some Greens were like putting on concrete, with barely any grass and what there was extremely spongy. Won't return until hear about major improvements.

a great layout
course conditions were better a month ago.However a new owner is taking over with hopefully deeper pockets and a little more savy about properly pricing the course for the area.Last owner thought that management should not cater to members.Who did he thinks keeps the course alive after the snowbirds go back north.

Ok, greens need some work
Pace of play was great for this time of year started at 11 and got done at 2:50. Course was in average conditions for this time of year. Greens need some work. They were very inconsistent. Some were really fast others were slow and the greens keeper must have been upset Sunday morning. Cut some pins in ridges and those holes were unplayable. I mean come on most of us aren’t tour pros.

Shotgun Start!
Afternoon shotgun start worked well. Pace of play was excellent, and course was in good shape, in spite of the fact that the fairways were recently aerated. Nice layout, with plenty of elevation changes untypical of a Florida course. Great value for the money, especially in February when courses are crowded with slow play. Will do this one again!

Poor fairway conditions around greens.
Very poor tight grass around greens (even in fairways). Consistent pitching was nearly impossible. Played in Feb. but probably better in summer. Staff was polite and very nice. Greens in good condition.

Working towards Improvements!
Stonecrest appears to be making some positive changes with i.e. signage and communications that were not evident last year! Good job! However, and unfortunately, the tee off times were running approximately 20 minutes behind which only permitted us to play 9 holes of the 18 we paid for. We had hoped to get more holes in prior to losing the light. The greens were being well tended and the fairways are coming along considering the winter is just finishing.

Good value for the money. Very friendly pro shop. Only negative is very slow food service on the turn. I recommend ordering food by calling in on hole 7.

Great value
Excellent layout, plenty of room off the tee. Greens over seeded with poa triv.provide an excellent putting surface and are receptive. Ford and his staff do a great job of keeping the pace of play very enjoyable. Fairway turf has good density. Bunkers could be better, but overall this golf course is a gem of a value and playing experience.
