Fun!
We actually golfed Stonecrest twice in the same week this January. It is a nice course with some long holes and a few tricky and challenging holes. The grass is dormant but they have kept the tee boxes and greens soft and green. Overall a fun course.

Great layout. Lousy conditions
Greens were decent. Several bare spots on each green. Fairways were terrible. Appears to need new seeding.. I had many shots from very tight lies around all the greens. I tried to land on rough for a better shot to the green. Still one of the best layouts in our areas.

Good time...but wish I'd known...
When purchasing on line you don't know that they send you out on a shotgun start. Wouldn't have been bad but they got us out 40 minutes past our tee time..

Golf
I booked a tee time for 12:33 pm. When we got there we were told it was a 1:00 pm shotgun shart. The pace of play was very slow.

Winter play
Arrived at the course at noon for 12:30 tee time and learned that we would be waiting at least and hour past our time because of a frost delay that morning. Understandable at this time of year but It would have been nice to know this in advance and adjust our schedule accordingly.
Conditions of the ladies rooms on the course were deplorable. No paper products and dirty.

Worth the time
First and foremost, the course conditions are better than the rumors I have heard. We enjoyed the layout and will be back as we believe course conditions will continue to improve. Downside was no ambassador/ranger and the ladies foursome that jumped ahead of us on 10. They fell 3 holes behind, and no one was there to advise about pace of play. At the 3 hour mark on hole 16, we finally went around them!

OVER BOOKING
Made my tee time through the course website for 2:00 pm for 1 golfer. Arrive at the course at 1:35. The course had no carts available and they were waiting for carts to be returned from finished rounds. Other golfers, with later tee times arrived, but they were all foursomes and there was no one to pair me up with. Carts began to be returned sporadically, but I was not given any potential start time. At 2:40, I gave up and got a refund. I was told that when I make a tee time online there was no consideration given to how many golfers were paired; therefore, there was also a foursome booked for 2:00 and my booking was actually "overbooked"

Poor Performance for Golf Now
I arranged a meeting with friends to play. When we got to the course, it was closed except for a private function. The pro on site stated that he informed Golf Now the course would be closed that date.
