Worth the time
First and foremost, the course conditions are better than the rumors I have heard. We enjoyed the layout and will be back as we believe course conditions will continue to improve. Downside was no ambassador/ranger and the ladies foursome that jumped ahead of us on 10. They fell 3 holes behind, and no one was there to advise about pace of play. At the 3 hour mark on hole 16, we finally went around them!
OVER BOOKING
Made my tee time through the course website for 2:00 pm for 1 golfer. Arrive at the course at 1:35. The course had no carts available and they were waiting for carts to be returned from finished rounds. Other golfers, with later tee times arrived, but they were all foursomes and there was no one to pair me up with. Carts began to be returned sporadically, but I was not given any potential start time. At 2:40, I gave up and got a refund. I was told that when I make a tee time online there was no consideration given to how many golfers were paired; therefore, there was also a foursome booked for 2:00 and my booking was actually "overbooked"

Poor Performance for Golf Now
I arranged a meeting with friends to play. When we got to the course, it was closed except for a private function. The pro on site stated that he informed Golf Now the course would be closed that date.

test drive outside The Villages
Good course for the money. I am a resident of The Villages, but too cheap to pay $64 resident rate. Fairways and rough seemed to lack irrigation but were very playable. Going back

Pleasantly surprised
Overall the course was in great shape. A good layout. Pace of play was a bit slow. Greens were average. Good value for money. Will play again.

Not what I expected
Overseeded, and well mowed. They are trying hard here. Had been reluctant to play because of previous poor reviews, but course is quite good at the present. Bunkers maintained, tee boxes and greens in good shape. Layout is quite hilly and greens are undulating. A long drive for me, but we’ll worth it.

Four and a Half Stars
Read recent reviews for this course, took advantage of special Hot Deal Savings to try for the first time. So glad I did! I'm guessing that the prior negative reviews took place before overseeding. Anyone who posted a negative review needs to go back!!! Very small defects on some green, which rolled faster than I was expecting, given the apparent previous overseeding. Nice fairways and manageable rough. I greatly appreciated the course management skills required to bring such fine delineation of the fairways with the deeper green.
Suggestions: 1) rakes for the bunkers. I unsure as to why there aren't any rakes. At the very least, perhaps some green side bunker rakes.
2) Pro Shop sign from the parking lot. 3) 1st Tee signs with arrow. 4) Cart Return signs with arrow.
There were many many private carts in the general vicinity of the clubhouse and obviously anyone who resides there knows where to go. But it's a little confusing for a first timer.
I have yet to golf at any course where absolutely everything is perfect in every aspect, but I give a solid 4 1/2 Stars for this course. Loved the layout, elevation changes, blind shots and the opportunity to really engage in course strategy.
And, they are having a Grand Reoping event on Monday, Jan. 10th; $25.00 for 18 holes with a cart.

Totally improved
The course is in great condition, the best I've seen it in years. The only issue is no rakes, hard to hit out of the sand traps with foot prints.
