Dogwood/Pines at TimberCreek Golf Club

The greens hadn't been cut in a few days, the fairways were scruffy, and it needs a lot of tree trimming. The pin location was posted and was wrong for both 9's. The greens are very narrow and deep so it was difficult not knowing where the pin was. The course is rundown and not well taken care of. It's a shame because it is a good layout and used to be a nice course.

Employees real nice. Facilities great but slow greens on a stimp meter about 7- 7.5. Most of the course was good. Sand traps are thin . Some carry area.

My first time playing the course, I played on my own, so the pace of play was very quick. The course layout is fun and challenging, with quite a few elevation changes (for a south Alabama course). Unfortunately the condition of the course is quite poor. Overgrown weeds, bunkers are totally packed with quite a few with standing water pools, tee boxes have long grass and patchy, broken up cart paths, greens are very slow. Carts are pretty worn but mine worked adequately (no gps). Some of these issues may be due to recent weather, but I only ran into one maintenance person the entire time, so that gave the impression that either they are short staffed or that’s the accepted condition. I’ll play the course again because it’s fun layout, but I hope the conditions are better.

I cannot believe how they are letting the greens go at this course. This used to be a great golf course. They are literally letting the greens grow in instead of maintaining them. Some of the greens are 1/4 of their normal size and where it used to be putting surface, they are simply letting it grow in and letting that now be the fringe. The course is not mowed very often, they obviously have not put sand in the trap some of them or nothing but rocks very very disappointing. It is only worth the value if you can find it extremely on sale.

Staff great, hot deal price, and decent course. I can tell they are trying to make it better in some places but I think there needs to be more hot deal tee times available.

The layout of the course is awesome but the lack of care is atrousis. They are minimizing the greens half the size of the original layout. Put some money in the course or sell to a company that cares.

This course has a fun layout but the greens need some serious work. They are trying to make the greens better it seems. I will only play this course on a good hot deal bc it’s not worth the 60-65$ they normally charge. Overall it was a fun time playing it.

This course should really be played with a 4 Wheel Dr. vehicle as it was almost impossible on two of the courses to even get down the fairway. Lots of greens had very little grass and the fairways were rutted and washed out.Personally, I felt like it was a real rip off for $70 per person. They need to spend some serious money!

Pretty fun layout for a change of pace from your regular course. Conditions not the best but can still have a good time
