Snoword
1st time at this course. Went out as a single but hooked up with a local couple on 2nd hole. It was also there 1st time on this course.
They also enjoyed the course and the layout. The greens were the only ? Mark. We all agreed that for the price we couldn’t ask for more.
I would golf there again.
Could be better
The club house and driving ranger are great, the course needs work. Staff was knowledgeable and polite. Would only play there when it’s a deal. Great place to practice though.
Worth while
We are staying in Orange Beach, it took us about 40 minutes to get there. I paid 65 and my dad paid 42. He is a senior. With his purchase he also got a bag lunch and a small bucket of range balls. The staff was very friendly. We are both veterans and received a veteran discount on our round. For it being winter time I believe the course was in great condition.
Great Potential
Course has great basic design but is in need of major overhaul. I played the Oaks then the Pines. The Oaks greens were bumpy and there were several washed out areas in and along the fairways. Pines was better but not great. Staff was first class and clubhouse and food were excellent. Carts also need replacing or reconditioning.
Very friendly staff. Price somewhat reasonable however the course was in poor condition.greens in really bad shape.
Keeps getting worse
The course is in rough shape. The layout is one that I like a lot, it’s just hard to envision spending even 10 bucks on it right now. The golf carts were fine, the greens had crabgrass everywhere, and the cart paths are a joke and some would say a serious liability. The people here are quite amazing.
Maintenance
Greens were full of weeds, sand traps were not maintained, several section of the cart paths were undrivable.
Disappointing
We played Magnolia/Dogwood. Magnolia was terrible. Dogwood was somewhat better but still not good. Hard to find any grass to hit off on the fairways and none on the greens. Like putting on a pool table.
This was once the top course on the in south Alabama . But today it the worse in south Alabama. The fairway condition covered with crabgrass and hard dirt. . Occasionally, you will see a patch of good grass. The Green has very little grass at any. The owner of this course decided to spray the greens a color of green hopefully somebody looking out outside would see some grass growing on the greens. Believe me there’s just Wintergrass growing all these greens .please don’t waste your money playing the course..
Regardless of their ability
Terrible condition
The cart I was in was like riding in a tank. Cart paths in terrible condition. Greens were rough and not in good condition. We will not play this course again.
