Surprised.
Not what i expected after reading previous reviews. The fairways and tee boxes were well grassed. Some of the greens did have some area but were not near the pin placement and were not a factor. The only negative was the manage refused to issue rain checks after a heavy storm blew in.
Timber Creek Golf Course
Played Magnolia and Dogwood. Cart paths need a lot of work. Magnolia needs a lot of TLC especially around the water areas. They are over grown and weeds have taken over. Especially the areas where you Tee off over the water area. Dogwood was in better shape but some of the greens has major damage. Timber Creek could be a prestige place again with the right ownership and management. I really hope that happen.
Bad Golf Course
This is one of the worse kept up golf courses I've ever play! I wish I could get my money back will never play again if I can help it!
Great Layout and friendly staff
Course needs some updating, and repair work. Cart paths were terrible, lots of broken concrete slabs, a lot of washed out spots with roots exposed everywhere. Golf cart had a low tire on it and seat was torn up pretty bad. But we had a good time anyway.
Magnolia & Dogwwod
Course was fun. Some of the greens need major work and sections of the cart paths impassable. With the right owners and management Timber Creek could be prestigious
It was a nice getaway course to play
I enjoyed the golf get away. All staff members were very friendly. Pro shop was lacking on items of interest but not a big deal. Corse layout was really nice. Some of the greens were in poor shape and made overall play somewhat latent. I would recommend TimberCreek as a good getaway course to play
Coarse is unkept. The greens are terrible. Clubhouse is nice and food is good.

Play elsewhere!
This is the first review of a golf course I’ve ever written. I felt the need to share my latest experience at Timbercreek so others don’t make the same mistake I did. Four days before our tee time, I called the pro shop and spoke to a very pleasant staff member. I told him we had 3 players planning to drive from Pensacola for golf and asked what shape the course was in. He told me the place was in great shape especially Magnolia and Pines. So we went. 0844 tee time, perfect weather.. first thing to notice, parking lot virtually empty. We paid our $65 and started Magnolia. The first hole set the stage for the rest of the course. Neglected tee box and fairways, first hole green had craters, dead sanded areas, no idea where your ball would roll to. It got progressively worse from there. Only one water cooler on Magnolia, it was empty. Remember, 0844 tee time.. Bushes growing over the terribly uneven cart path. The bathroom pavilion had a vending machine outside, not working. The only place to get water was the bathroom sink that actually drained right onto the floor . Hard packed rocky sand in the traps, no rakes anywhere on the course! If you wanted to fill a divot ( I’m thinking, why bother) you couldn’t because there no sand on any of the carts and none available at the pro shop when we asked at the turn. It’s always a great time hanging with your buddies on a perfect weather day but overall it was a terrible golf experience. Why can’t people just give ya a straight answer when asking what shape the course is in? On the bright side, the club house is excellent ! I definitely won’t be back until management takes charge and brings this once beautiful course back to life.
So sad
The whole course needs a helping hand.
Tee-boxes, fairways, greens are in a poor condition.
The course layout is fine and challenging.
Don't ruin this wonderful location.
Completely unplayable greens.
Don't bother, the layout was awesome and the course has a lot of potential but they don't do any maintenance at all. Weeds absolutely everywhere and the greens were literally unplayable between weeds, sand, and dead spots.
It’s sad to see the condition of this course. Such wasted potential.
To start off, our cart had a flat tire, concrete cart paths were unable to be driven on due to slabs coming up, weeds were overgrown all through the course that were over waist high, all signs weren’t able to be seen due to paint falling off and weeds and bushes blocking that signs, greens were AWFUL and had huge missing grass patches with weeds sprouting up everywhere, and bunkers were just as bad and not a single rake on the course.
Should cost less
Great layout on this course but upkeep is horrendous. Not worth the cost of admission.
Timbercreek golf
Course layout is good but some of the greens are in horrible shape and the cart paths and wooden paths and platforms really need to be repaired/replaced…a real shame!
Timbercreek in July
The course layouts are very good! But some of the greens are in pretty bad shape with a lot of sand and some large “potholes” in them. Many of the golf cart paths are in poor shape with broken concrete and large drops/rises, and some of the wooden bridges and walkways appear to be about to break and fall through.
