Best course in Mobile
Love this course. Nice practice area and lovely people. Been playing this course for a long time.
After storm, great course
Thank you goes to this course. After hurricane came in on Sunday morning, this course was in great condition. I would recommend this course to all types of players. I gave this course 4 stars because it will be in pristine condition after clean up.
Playing Azalea City
Good condition, staff friendly, rough too high for me but big fairways to hit. Fun and fair course overall
Really good shape
the course is in very good condition, however the rough is brutal.
Good value
This course was in very good condition, excellent for a muni and for the price outstanding. Do not get above the hole. The rough was brutal on this day and greens firm and fast. I hate to write such a glowing review because I play here regularly.
good shape
Very nice for an old public course, fairways excellent, greens a bit grainy but expected for Bermuda, staff very accommodating, rained out after 4 holes, got rain check and will do it again
Second cut grass was very high. Lost a couple of balls in the high grass.
Azalea City Golf Course
AC is a great course for those who don't like many hazards. It's wide open with only 2 water hazards on the course. The bunkers are very shallow as well; making them reletively easy to escape.
The average price is around $38/per round. Not bad; but I feel as if this course warrants more in the $30 range.
The greens' speeds are typically average-fast. They never really play slow. They are usually in good condition as well. Minimal damage to the surface.
This is the best "valued" course in Mobile. If you have no budget limits then Magnolia Grove is clearly better.
Will spend my money somewhere else.
After playing the front nine, the group stopped at the eatery located located inside and grabbed drinks for the back 9, we were in there 8-10min tops. When we approached the 10th hole we were informed by the Marshall that we would have to start at 1 instead of 10 because the girls that got us our drinks took more than 5 minutes, granted we never saw a cart girl on the front 9. When we asked where the sign was that said over 5 min he said there needs to be one. Needless to say we got a refund on the back nine. This course is a clicky place and since we probably don't play there 3 times a week they did not care. I play twice a week and will promise to never play here again nor will my friends. Take your money elsewhere, there alot better courses around town that would love for you to play there. Thanks!!
Best public course in Mobile
Very well maintained course with good staff but slow play during weekdays.
Great Course for anybody!
I play here about once a week. I love this course. It's a long ball hitters course. You need to be a good off the tee and fairly good with your irons. The green are always in great shape for a city course. I use the GolfNow app and an I never pay more than $25 with a cart.
