Golfer Reviews
New staff and new range balls
It’s been a while since I’ve played Cumberland (maybe a year). I reluctantly played again just to have somewhere different to play. Previously had some issues with having no range balls (And if they did have some, they were almost useless they were so bad). But they FINALLY got some new balls. Greens were in really good shape and they had some new staff members! Very pleasant experience compared to previous encounters.
Great course!
Great course, I really enjoy it. The guy running the front desk probably needs some direction from management. The previous visit was wonderful; this guy had issues and tried to pass them on to customers. Other than that guy, the place is great and worth it regardless.
Was Simply OK
Just about as ok as it gets. A few fun holes, but the place just felt neglected. Decent in a pinch, but there are far more courses I’d rather play at. Spend a little more and go play Limestone Springs (which isn’t far).
Fun layout, good course conditions
The weather was terrible. Cold and windy. But the course was in really good condition. Greens were really nice. I really liked the layout and there are plenty of good challenges here. I will be back.
None golfer fee to ride
Staff tried to charge my buddy’s pregnant wife 50$ just to ride in a cart said she will half to pay cart fee and green fee. me and him walked and let her drive my cart. Not a good way to greet new customers at your golf course. Nice corce but I can play in Arab Alabama for 39$. corse is just as nice and the staff treats you like family.
Cumberland is a good track.
Good experience. Although there were temporary tee boxes it was still a good test of golf. The staff helped out when we lost an article. Go see them!
Fun course
My group played here for the first time as we were in the local area. It was a fun course with a very nice layout and interesting holes. Our only complaint was with the speed of the greens. They were very, very slow and we left nearly all of our putts short. It was hard to adjust from the course we regularly place. Pace of play was fantastic as there were very few groups on the course. Staff was friendly and the burger was good. i would play this course again. The value was there for what we payed.
Weather sucked, but a beautiful course and pretty wide open, but yet challenging.
