Cherokee Ridge Country Club

Like many courses in North Alabama, Cherokee Ridge was hit with Winter Kill due to the freeze in January. The tee boxes effected has already began the process of re-sodding. Greens are perfect and layout in unmatched. Definitely worth the trip.

Diseased tee boxes, weedy rough, spotchy fairway grass at $75? A round?

The monthly membership fee is fair... barely ...but last year it was under $40 to play with a member and now it's $55 and the course is in worse shape.

Played in the Alabama Two Man this past weekend. Unbelievably well ran event and will definitely be back for a regular round.

You place this club in any metro area and it’s easily $200. I play RTJ regularly and definitely prefer Cherokee Ridge every time.

I really have nothing but good things to say about the staff and the facilities. The course however has really taken a turn over the last year. I played here multiple times last year and loved it. We had a very wet winter here and it seems that the course has just not recovered. Other courses have dealt with the same weather so it’s hard to give Cherokee a break. The tee boxes and fairways have seen better days but you can make up for it with the greens. Should be $40 all day and used to be $60 for mornings, now it’s an easy $80 with worse playing conditions.

From checkin to the cold beer in the bar after the round, we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

drove down from Nashville for a practice round for an upcoming event. payed full price in the morning and the lady running the pro shop was great. got done and inquired about possibly running another 18. 2 kids running the pro shop at that time said it would be another hour and 10 before we could tee off again. putted for 30 minutes and watched exactly 1 golfer go off one tee. with course conditions like they are I would stay away for now.

It's off the beaten path just outside Huntsville, but definitely worth the trip. Greens were as good as I've seen in this area. Stephanie in the pro shop was a peach.

Just south of Huntsville. A top 10 course Ive played. Staff was extremely friendly and Layne in the pro shop was a pleasure. They had a members event going on and everyone was having a blast. Wish I live closer and I would join immediately

By far one of the coolest layouts in North Alabama.

One round here and you can see why it used to host a Korn Ferry Tour event. Extremely hard layout that’s narrow, has forced carries, and maybe the most unfair tee shot I’ve ever seen on Hole 14. That said, it’s a fun round, and might be the prettiest course in Alabama. A round at a course like this in other places would cost twice as much. Friendly staff, good amenities, range balls are included. Would recommend going here at least once, but isn’t a course I would play every week given how tough it is.
