First time, but not the last time.
Was our first time playing, from Michigan, on a golf spring break with my HS Senior Son. I would call it a great find! Was charged twilight rate at a 2:10 tee time.
First thing-greeted by staff in pro shop like I was a member and one of the local guys,(my preference) and offered great info/insight. Great “vibe” in clubhouse.
At end of round-we played behind another staff member and caught up with him at cart drop off- we chatted at length about the course, our rounds, other great courses, etc. great impressions at each end our visit.
These 2 things alone would have me coming back again.
Beyond that, this course is magnificent-challenging and rewarding, Course knowledge is helpful and they provided us with a nice course guide to help. We had golf app and range finders, as well. We also had time to drive up to look at blind shots, as there are a few.
Not many surprises. Greens were nice for spring golf Tif Eagle I think. It plays through a nice neighborhood, but houses really don’t encroach on course too much- good for all I would say, and some of the natural features are special . Similar to some of our Northern Michigan Courses….most are presently covered with snow.
Choose appropriate tees to play from and everyone should have fun. Would recommend taking a golf cart.
This course is certainly bookmarked for me!

Abysmal Pace of Play
Set tee time using GolfNow. At course told 2 others were to play with me. Looked they took off ahead of tee time and me. Course had no starter, no marshal as usual and usually not a problem.
I love the course, but on this day after an hour to play 3 holes, I quit and went home. I'm not a fan of 5- 6 hour rounds. If this is the norm here or anywhere, I'll quit the game and take up something else.

Played this due to Tournament and rain issues (The River Course was closed) at RTJ Hampton Cove. First time to play and will definitely play again in season. The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars on condition was course was wet in some areas on back 9 due to recent rain.

Excellent layout
This is a man-sized course. Plenty of length. Drive long to give good looks at quick tiered greens. Stay away from course after a heavy rain. You won't have a chance if the course is saturated.

Great Course 25 minutes from Huntsville, Al
Course conditions were outstanding. Sand Traps need work but new Greens are fabulous. Great layout and amenities. Highly recommend! Staff is first class.

Good course!
Good course but disappointed there is no longer a senior rate. One of my favorite courses in the area but won’t play as much with higher pricing.😢

Nice course bad carts
First time playing here. Course was very pretty and in good shape. Only complaints was carts could have been better and holes were not marked so it was difficult to know which hole you were on. Pace was slow and needed a Marshall out there to make it move faster. I will come back and play again.

Great Course and Great Value
Cherokee Ridge is a hidden gem. The layout is challenging. The greens and fairways are in top shape. The grounds staff was doing their best to keep the fairways and rough clear of leaves. Cherokee Ridge is on my replay list for the Huntsville area.
