Spent most time trying to find holes
The Signage on the course is terrible many people where lost looking for tees!
The course itself has decent greens and tee boxes but the rough is so inconsistent, I know it’s rough but it’s like it’s never touched
No water to clean balls or refreshments
It screamed of covid has meant we have been shut and now not as busy so are not trying as much the shop wasn’t even stocked with balls
Was really disappointed
So much fun.
Don’t think of Nicholson on 16 or that’s where you’ll end up.
Course was very wet and the greens were not in good shape, probably due to the wet weather recently. Bumpy greens.
TTTTTerible Course
LSU should be ashamed to have their name on such a course.
People should be warned that it is a cow pasture, literally, it was in awful condition.
Never will play this course again.
Bad shape.
All of the greens had little weeds growing on them, with very little grass, and they were bumpy.
The fairways were overgrown and the rough was so long you couldn't find your ball..
Need to wait a month before playing there again.

I love LSU but yesterday it was in bad shape. Greens were bad and lots of mowing needed. It has been wet a lot, and I’m hoping it gets better because I like playing there.
Mississippi in Flood affected course
Our biggest complaint was depth of rough and boggy areas in the rough. It was hard to find balls if not in the fairway. We thought it was a lack of maintenance but on reflection after the round, decided it was due to the proximity to the Mississippi River and the high water table. My review of the course was based on those conditions which should improve after the flood abates.
Love this course
So I’ve played at LSU a few times. The fairways are really above average for the price point. You’re rewarded nicely for hitting the ball into the fairway. The rough has gotten tougher into the summer, which is great. But it’s not so challenging that you struggle to get out or find your ball. The greens leave a little to be desired and don’t really break “true”, but again for the price point probably a little above average.
Hole number 6 is my favorite, it’s a massive risk or reward tee box with a very guarded green from one side. It’s a lot of fun to play I’d say there’s 3 different ways to make par there.
Anyway I love the course, it’s only lacking in food and beverage options. Other than that it’s a fantastic little course for a great price.
Enjoyable
First time golfing and had a lot of fun. They need to fix some of their signs and make sure coolers are full, but all in all was a lot of fun.
Good value for the money
LSU is not the best course around, however they tend to always have great greens, and today was no different. It can be tough with ditches, water, and trees if you have issues with inaccuracies, but for the most part, it is a decent course that I play very often. The staff is always great and helpful as needed.
