Golfer Reviews
Hurricane Ida changed the course
I really like the course but hurricane Ida took out several key trees. From my perspective the most severely impacted/changed holes were numbers 4,7,8,10 and 17. The green on 8 is no longer protected by a tree.
Typically the pace of play on a weekday is great. This time we were a threesome playing behind a twosome that had a slow playing FIVESOME in front of them. I really don’t know if the FIVESOME tried to let them through or not but after a few holes we jumped ahead by skipping from number 10 to number 14.
The greens and fairways were in good shape.
Effects of Rain made it unplayable
I really like this course. Unfortunately, due to recent rain it appears the fairways had not been mowed for several days. The fairways were more like rough. Under these conditions I believe the course should have been Closed.
I do look forward to playing it in the future.
Too wet
Don’t waste your time until course dries. Grass is ankle deep on fairways. I lost 2 balls in the fairway! The rough is higher. The greens are in great shape.
Good for money
better than city park north and faster pace than bartholomew. Fairways needed to be cut, but rainy weekend so understandable. Not great, but a fun round. I would recommend/return here for the under $30 weekend rate.
Upset
I bought a reservation for four people yesterday. We got there today and the clubhouse was closed for no reason. I spent $150 for four people and two carts and on a random Sunday morning they were just closed. We drove all the way from Metairie and Kenner to play and nobody was in the golf shop and nobody was playing the course. Very upset
Improving with weather
Course conditions were very nice and the greens are nearly full recovered from the winter. Layout is a bit flat for my taste but challenging none the less. Bring plenty of balls for the water areas and club down for accuracy. A good day
Refund needed
The course was rained out and we were unable to play. How do I get my refund?
FLorida
course was in winter condition, greens weren't the best. It was a tight course, but we injoyed it
Course in decent shape for week after a freeze
The greens rolled really true. The fairways were on the thinner side, as can be expected in the winter. As always the staff is friendly and helpful.
FLorida
The layout was good, some holes were challenging. It is a tight course .We golfed when the grass was in winter conditions, so I cannot give it a fair rating; I am sure the course is in better condition in spring and summer..
Okay day
Very windy nice day! Staff very friendly, layout nice , fairway grass very thin !! I would definitely go back! It needs grass growth on fairways ! And yardage markers in the fairways
