Good value
Old style parkland type layout typical of the 1960s when it opened. Narrow tree lined fairways. Flat and therefore poor drainage. Small, extremely fast greens with a surprising amount of elevation and contour. Several times my playing partner had putts roll off the green. They do take backspin much better than most area courses. Fairway and greens very well maintained. Tee boxes not as well because they are small by today's standards. Bunkers also not very good because without modern drainage they were wet and packed from rain that fell a few days before our round. Carts in very good condition. Staff very friendly. Teeing off at 1:30 we finished at 4:45. For the price, $12.00 plus tax and fees for a total of $17.00, a very good value.
For the price it was worth the 1 hour n 15 min drive. It was cold n a little damp but the course was in pretty good shape after all the rain they were getting. I would like to play it again when it is a little drier. The greens were really fast but we were told.
Consistently nice course
Everything as expected. No issues encountered. Staff always friendly and accommodating
Great place to play
Course in excellent shape. Fairways lush, greens fast and true. Course personnel friendly and very helpful. Also nice to play
Hot Deal
I got the tee time with a hot deal so for less than $25 you can't beat it. The course overall was in good shape with exception to the tee boxes which the grass was high but given all the rain lately it made sense. It's a pretty soft layout where not a lot of trouble comes in to play but there are a few challenges. The greens are fast and true so try to keep it below the hole.
first time back in more than a year
Love this course, but the regular price is a bit steep for what it is..this was my favorite course when the price was $20-25
Bang for the buck!
Got on a Hot Deal for $10. Was impressed with the green speed and they rolled true. Tight drives required on most holes.
Fast Greens
A really nice course with narrow fairways and fast greens. Good course to practice driving straight!
riverlands laplace
course has excellent greens with a rough that is fair.a premium for a straight tee shot as course will punished you if you miss the fairway, i thought that course was extremely fair and you get rewarded for hitting good shots.will gladly drive the 30 miles to play again from new orleans
Great outing
I played with my dad and a friend. I have played here many times and always enjoyed it. I like the lay out; especially the variety on the par 4s and if played from the white tees the par 5s are reachable in 2 shots for me. The staff was very friendly.
My only recommendation is to upgrade the bunkers. Some tend to be packed down dirt.
Good course
My wife and I enjoyed playing fairways in good shape greens were very fast and didn't have much grass on them. But good course will play again
Fun course
Was paired up with a threesome and played from the white tees, although I'd usually play back a set. Greens were fast ... real fast. But they were rolling nicely and were consistent throughout. What more can you ask for? While I was offered some local knowledge by the guys I played with -- don't miss long on the first hole, stay away from the left side on No. 8, etc. -- I did a poor job of taking the advice. Still, had a good time and will likely return to the course.
Great Course and it's worth it. ,
First and foremost the gentleman in the clubhouse was incredibly friendly paired me with great courteous people gave me great insight on what to do in the area. Course is decent greens are Fast and receptive. The course had got a lot of rain so paired a bit longer you get heavy winds here so playing from the tips the course plays quite long Definitely worth playing and close to airport
Rating the course
Like the course for a great price
Best fairways around
I am a member of Riverlands but I book through golf now hot deal because it is cheaper than what they charge me to play. Great course.
bob
Good course and friendly staff as well as good layout and nice bar and grill.
Great weather, great conditions
I've played this course probably about a dozen times, but I think this time the conditions were the nicest I have played (just as the guy in the pro shop said they would be. Greens played fast but not unreasonably so, and they held balls coming in (or at least my playing partner - he shot great, not so much for me but that was my undoing, not the course's fault). Pace was decent at a little over 3 hours, nobody behind us and a two-some a hole ahead of us on the front nine. This course fits right up there with the affordable places to play in the NOLA greater metro area.
