Riverlands Golf & Country Club

Was paired up with a threesome and played from the white tees, although I'd usually play back a set. Greens were fast ... real fast. But they were rolling nicely and were consistent throughout. What more can you ask for? While I was offered some local knowledge by the guys I played with -- don't miss long on the first hole, stay away from the left side on No. 8, etc. -- I did a poor job of taking the advice. Still, had a good time and will likely return to the course.

First and foremost the gentleman in the clubhouse was incredibly friendly paired me with great courteous people gave me great insight on what to do in the area. Course is decent greens are Fast and receptive. The course had got a lot of rain so paired a bit longer you get heavy winds here so playing from the tips the course plays quite long Definitely worth playing and close to airport

I am a member of Riverlands but I book through golf now hot deal because it is cheaper than what they charge me to play. Great course.

I've played this course probably about a dozen times, but I think this time the conditions were the nicest I have played (just as the guy in the pro shop said they would be. Greens played fast but not unreasonably so, and they held balls coming in (or at least my playing partner - he shot great, not so much for me but that was my undoing, not the course's fault). Pace was decent at a little over 3 hours, nobody behind us and a two-some a hole ahead of us on the front nine. This course fits right up there with the affordable places to play in the NOLA greater metro area.

Staff did not honor deal. Over booked our tee time and did not discount for future date. Course not kept up and poorly managed.

This is an old style course. Fairways head one direction, and then come back. You can hit the ball all over the place and still score. It has some long holes,but it really is a pretty easy course. If you're just learning, this is a good place to play.

Course seems like a local hangout. Didn't feel that welcomed. Course was in good condition.

Course seemed to have a fair amount of long narrow holes 400+ yards. Plenty of opportunity to break out the woods. If you can stay in the fairway. Over all very good course.

Noticed Belle Terre was closed. Right down the street. Riverlands had a crew of what seamed like ten doing something positive all over the course. Really good design. I'd go back.

Decent course. I will go back to it. Forgiving layout if you slice or hook a drive; for many holes your ball will just end up on another fairway. Trees are spaced far apart giving you many options for recovery shots. Water on a few holes adds some challenge as well as OB and some well placed bunkers. Greens were pretty large, so shot placement on approach is important. Greens had recently been aerated and were still recovering, but still had a nice quick roll to them. Bunkers were wet, indicting a lack of drainage, but still had some fluff to the sand. Staff and members were all friendly. Great etiquette from everyone I observed. Good pace of play, folks let you play through if they were slow, and kept distance from you so you didn't feel like you were being pushed from behind.

The young lady in the pro shop was very nice & friendly. It is an old style golf course with fairways running up & down. Nothing wrong with that - it is just the way golf courses were designed in those days. The greens had just been punched with sand. I suppose the greens would be much better in two more weeks.

Nothing fancy, but great golf to be played at this course. The course is very straight forward. Greens were excellent! They were fast but not to the point that the green couldn't hold the ball. Fairways were in good condition and all the bunkers were playable. For $22.50, this was an outstanding value. I will definitely be back to place this course again.

Even though the scenery and course layout aren't great compared to other surrounding courses. Riverlands makes up for it with there green complexes which are always in great shape.

Very good Tif Eagle greens. Average tees and fairways. Wide tree-lined fairways.

I really enjoyed this course especially the greens. Being from Florida I'm not sure if it was different grass or what but the ball really rolled well for me, I even broke 40 for only the second time this year. The wheels kind of fell off however on the back but that wasn't anything to do with the course. Through Golfnow I was allowed free range balls and had a very nice time! Knowing the course and what NOT to do I'm sure I could go lower next time. Try this course and you won't be sorry.
