Bunkers are a mess
No sand
Rocks galore
Not too bad
Played in the afternoon alone. Followed a slow foursome and skipped #2, but at $23 wasn't too concerned. The course layout is varied and fun...but the course was not the best of shape, but playable. A good day to play it as a practice round. Occasionally played 2 balls or practiced extra chipping and putting without holding up play. Finished in under 3 hours. The price was appropriate. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Course maitenance in progress
This is what I think it is: Maintenance in progress. Sand traps are a DISASTER. In fact, no sand at all. A geologist can tell the lst time they rack the bunkers were long ago. Greens need a closer look too, the ball was airborn 50+% of the time. I like torres but it has changed in the past few months.
not our favorite
Course layout is sort of boring, especially the front. Just back and forth with no elevation change. Greens were terrible -- very bumpy. We had played here a few years ago but will probably not be back.
Torres Blancas
Overall the course is laid out well. The sand traps need work as they are hard, full of rocks and vegetation is starting to grow in some of them. I don’t believe the staff attends to them at all.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Could be so much better
Greens were not good. Bunkers were awful. Overall unkept in many noticeable aspects.
Windy
Greens are terrible. Very rough. Bunker / sand traps are gravel pits - very rocky & hard as concrete.
Torres Blancas
Outstanding views and scenery. Course was in moderate shape, wish that the sand traps were maintained and the greens were a little rough. Great staff and amenaties , course has the potential to be much better.
Bunkers SUCK
Doesn't look like they have racked the bunkers in months. All dirt and weeds in most. Poor management.
Course is in good shape
The grass on the fairways was in great condition. The rough is a lot of dead grass, but it's expected when we've received as much snow as we have. The greens were rolling well, but it was a little patchy. The bunkers were unplayable. Overall though the course is in great shape, and the layout is quite fun, yet challenging.
I dont understand how the bunkers can be consistently this bad. Also the greens are generally only good a couple of months out of the year. Patchy and not consistent is a common them
