About
One of Jim Fazio’s first solo projects, Riverchase is a surprisingly tough challenge given its lack of trees and relatively short length. The course runs through the bottomlands of the Elm Fork Trinity River and is loaded with water due to a chain of interconnecting lakes created to collect heavy rains and irrigate the course. While there are no forced carries, water comes into play at least 12 holes, and out-of-bounds is a frequent concern because of the housing community that surrounds the course.
No. 5 is the most difficult rated hole–a long dogleg right par 4 that requires a solid tee shot to be in position to reach the green in two. The approach is long and uphill into a severely back-to-front sloping green with a lake on the right and out-of-bounds and bunkers on the left.
Two holes later, No. 7 is one of the toughest approaches in all of DFW. This hole plays due south into the prevailing wind, and the elevated green has a depth of only about 25 feet. Bunkers line the back, and the slope in front is significant. Ups and downs are difficult because of the slopes in the green. Take a look at the pin placement when you’re teeing off on No. 4.
The good news is that other than out-of-bounds, the course is mostly wide open, so you’ll generally have a shot if you just miss the fairway. The only thick spot for trees is along the creek on holes 14-16.
Getting there : Take the Belt Line exit off of 635 and drive north to MacArthur. Turn right (east) and drive to Riverchase Dr., where you’ll turn left. Look for the course on the right side of the road.

Don’t play 13
Course was great, I’d recommend for a fun/casual round.
Just don’t play 13 bc someone from the apartment will still your ball from the fairway.

Decent Course with Holes a bit on top of each other
First time playing this course. It is what it is for its price. I found many holes were very close to each other and you had to be conscious of other golfers teeing off while you were playing. Back nine has lots of water in play which is nice and adds challenge. Overall I'd likely not return but it is a good public option in DFW.

Let a nice course go
Awful.. they really let a nice course go.. teeboxes are sand and hard never once had an even lie!! Poor drainage some fairways have trenches down the middle. All cart paths were broken and almost hazardous to drive on..Bunkers were unplayable 2 holes had new white sand.. they might be in the process of a change. I played here all through high-school and it's incredibly sad to see my home course in such bad shape!!

Bad experience
Probably one of the worst courses I’ve played in awhile. I played here 6 months ago and it was in pretty good shape. Manageable for $45. Came back 3 days ago and was a total waste of money. If you want awful carts, bunkers, and fairways with ditches and pot holes everywhere this is the course for you. Don’t even get me started on the cart path, which was absolutely atrocious to drive on. You probably would have to pay me to play this course if they continue to leave it in the current condition.

Don’t come here
There is no course Marshall or starter available here for everyone to follow tee times and pace of play. Apparently there were 4 groups paired at the same time as my 4some for 3:40pm therefore everyone was playing so fast and didn’t even feel fun anymore. The courses need better upkeep with bunkers, fairways and divots on greens. Carthpaths are awful, broken and uneven. Couldn’t even order food or drinks from club house since they didn’t have enough workers. The only good thing was the weather. Aside from that I am never coming here or Duck creek park again. 2 of the worst courses in North Texas.

Needs work
The course needs some serious work. Weeds on greens, bunkers under construction, course does not drain well.

Course needs work
Cart paths were filled with cracks and potholes. Three tee boxes were sandy and not level. Needs maintenance and work to bring it up to value of what you pay.

Going downhill
Been playing RC for several years. Course conditions and upkeep are atrocious. Sad to see. Cannot go back or recommend this course.
