Longwood
Great day to play. Great rate, started right on my tee time. Course is very good playing condition.
Overhanging limbs
There were a couple of holes on the Post Oak course that are in need of limb removal. On the par 3, limbs extend over part of the green on the black tees. On the par 4 dogleg left with the large water hazard the tree on the left blocks much of the fairway. Otherwise the greens were nice.
Nice mix
A good mix of holes-challenging and easy. Need a few more direction signs at certain holes. First time players, I guarantee will get lost. Other than that, an above average course for regular joes. I would give it a 3.8 out of 5.
Good course
The course is very good, you have 3 options to play 18 holes.
First Time Review
First time playing a day after bad thunderstorms. Course had lots of water on it. Played pine and palmetto courses. Overall courses played well and sitting water not much issue. Look forward to playing when dry.
Excellent golf course
I like Longwood. The course is interesting and challenging. The fairways and greens are well maintained. The lunch area and pro shop are good.
Pleasant Surprise
First time playing and was pleasantly surprised. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens were all in great shape. Wide fairways. Some good variety with the layout. Right balance of some water but not to much.
Course is improving. Greens are slow.
Its that time of the year the greens are a different grass. They are good and greens are holding but the greens are slow. Putt with a 3 or 5 wood. Course has improved drastically in the past year or two. Worth playing for under $30.
Always A Good Outing
Friendly staff. GolfNow price competitive. Course in descent shape with typically an ok pace of play. Our go to course if looking last minute to get in a round.
Good golf for everyone
Nice course for everyone. If you are good, nice practice. If you are bad, then you will lose a few balls. Inbetweeners will get both things. Just a nice place for golf.
Great layout, but the course was in terrible shape and way overpriced!!
We were so disappointed!! How can you charge a premium greens fee of $70 with the course being in the shape that it was? The tee boxes were all chopped up - like teeing up in the rough, the greens were sanded, bumpy and had dead spots. On top of that, we all arrived 30 minutes prior to our early morning tee time (we had 3 back-to-back tee times starting at 8a) and they had already run out of range balls. Many of us were not even able to warm up.
Why not let us know the shape of the course when we called and made the tee time? ...Or offer a discount off the normal greens fees until the course is in better shape?
Won't be back!!
Nice Course but Marshall is non existent
Good course but no marshall to help move up the pace. Was stuck behind a foresome and had 3 other 4somes waiting on them. marshall never showed up once.
Pay extra to warm up
Ok place. Office staff could be a little friendlier. And have to pay for range balls to warm up. No restrooms found away from clubhouse.
Longwood
Course was in decent shape. Cart paths were bad. It was the first time playing so because of the layout they really need better marking out there we got messed up 3 time. Or print a map of each 9.
