Longwood Golf Club - Palmetto Course

got lost over and over. very bad layout. The golf Corse is in the worst I've seen in this area.

The course greens were in terrible shape. There are dirt lies in th fairways. This course has fallen into a lack of repair from the way it was before.

Greens were unputtable. So many dirt patches the ball hopped around like a pinball.

Greens were horrible, putts were no rolling true. The fairways were a mix of weeds and grass and many spots were hard pan with little or no grass.

They seem to have an on going issue with the greens at Longwood. The seem to have disease and are spotty, some mud and dirt then some grass. The greens were also very slow today it was damp and cart path only. It will be a while before I play this course again, maybe with some dry warm weather the greens will recover.

Great course layout. Greens were in poor shape but getting better. One of my favorite places to play.

Greens and T boxes are terrible. Hopefully seeding and some good rain they will come back in spring.

I paid $90 for two players the course was horrible the greens were horrible the course is worth more like $10

Course conditions were pretty bad. To be fair, it was after the freeze, but considering how bad the greens and course were, $80 seems unreasonable for greens fees. Doubtful I’ll ever play here again.

Greens are in horrible shape. To be expected after the winter freeze I suppose. Just need spring to kick in.

Great course layout but greens were not in good condition. I didn’t help that a week before they were frozen. I’ll play this course again, just will wait till greens are better.

Good beginners course. Most holes are very straight, few curves/water. The layout was very confusing when going from 1 hole to the next, got turned around 2 or 3 times trying to figure out which way to go next. Bedsides that, decent course.

T box, fairway and greens all are in rough shape. Can’t wait till spring. Hopefully they seed the heck out of all 3.

Longwood has a lot to offer from chipping range, putting range and driving range prior to kicking your day off. Cart girl doesn’t make rounds as much as I’d like but probably better for my skill improvement every time I go ha! I will say this is a good course if you aren’t bad but not super good either. Greens are slightly rough but Longwood definitely gives you a feel of a professional course without feeling the burn of someone professional pressuring as pace of play is pretty fair out here. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for me and would recommend!

I only played 9 holes it was cold it was wet And it was not a day to play golf. But everybody was very nice at Longwood on a cold wet day. I kept topping the ball and it was cold and wet but there was one 7-iron that was pure as gold with a slight draw that landed on a small green with the purest of ball strikes. I cut my losses and didn't play another nine holes but it was a good experience on a miserable day.

The club and staff are friendly enough, I am not from the area and I guess it’s the off season, but the conditions are not good, the greens were a 2 on a 10 scale, they want you to play fast, but the signage is awful, you have to search for holes that are in out of the way places with no direction. Played with my kids, so I would absolutely do it again, but the price is very high for the condition at this time of year.
