Don’t believe all the haters
Don’t believe everything you hear or read – Longwood Golf Course is actually coming along quite nicely! The course conditions are solid. It’s not perfect yet but they’ve only been open since November. Seems like they’re putting in some good work, and it’s making a difference.
Looking forward to hitting the greens soon!
Enjoyable Golf Course
Played course on Halloween 2024 ( yesterday), and found the course to be in overall good condition. Yes, there are areas that should be improved and probably will be based on how minor they impact play. The fairways and greens were in good condition when compared to area courses. The course provides challenging experience for all skill levels. Go play and enjoy for yourselves.
Nice Track
This was my first time playing here since the remodel. I really enjoy the new layout and practice area. Course conditions could have been a bit better for this price point but it has been extremely dry lately and there is a change in seasons so I am willing to give them a pass on some things. Looking forward to my next time back.
Big Improvment
I haven't played Longwood in a long time. I heard they had remodeled the golf course and made many improvements. The golf course is in much better condition than the last time I played there. The redesign is much better. There is still some cleanup work needed around the golf course related to the construction, but it is well worth the $65 Weekday green fee. The staff was very friendly in the restaurant. Kudos to the owner!
Poor management
I have been a resident of the Longwood Village community for nearly 25 years. I have been golfing for nearly 25 years as well and my handicap is 5.
Although I have been golfing 25 years, I have shied away from the golf course as it appears the company that manages or owns it, reinvested very little or nothing into the course to maintain and enhance the facilities. After the course was closed during the entire year of 2023 for remodeling or renovations, I decided to become a member in mid March 2024 based on the appearance of the holes that I could see from the street.
At the beginning of June 2024, half of the 18 golf course was shuttered for maintenance which it severely needed. The half that was shuttered included mostly the 14 holes that existed with the old 27 hole layout. On August 17, 2024, these shuttered holes reopened to my dismay as the overall condition of these holes are in very poor condition. The manager stated the course is 80% from completion. I don't think he's no where close to being accurate with that statement. There is too much work to be done to this facility to be a playable course. In fact, when you take into account the numerous dead trees on the property, many of which are in the field of play and pose a serious danger.
I have played many top golf courses across the US and Canada including courses that have hosted PGA major tournaments. I have decided to cancel my membership at The Golf Club @ Longwood after 5 and one half months. Remember for 2 months plus of these 5 and 1/2 months , the course was reduced to 9 holes in view of maintenance.

Did not live up to expectations
I joined this course after it was closed for over 1 year for remodeling. As a 25 year resident of the neighborhood and a 5 handicap, i have shied away from this course in view of its history for lack of maintenance and upkeep.
The course is in pretty bad condition overall and I cancelled my membership after 5 and 1/2 months. Half of the course was closed over 2 months of this period for maintenance. It is just not playable on most occasions and does not meet my expectations. This course has too many issues to address. Buyer beware!!!
Good spot. Great conditions.
Would recommend. I enjoy this course. Greens played true and were in very good shape. I will play here again.
Course Renovation
The are working on the course doing some renovation ...A lot of people playing two different nines ...Greens and fairways definitely need work ...Good enough for the money we played
Decent course with fun and challenging design
Positives: lots of variety in the course design
Not very long but requires strategy due to placement of bunkers, lakes and trees. Bring your GPS
Course was in decent condition overall for a public course
Staff were froendly
Negatives: the layout is annoying with long drives in between holes and confusing routes and inadequate signage. Prepare to get lost trying to find the next hole and forget trying to walk the course
Greens were slow and not very good condition. Several were damaged
Pace of play was horrible although it was a Saturday morning with good weather
A couple goofy hole designs with trees in the middle of the fairway
Fun course but needs a Marshall
Course was in good condition, it’s overall a cool layout, but a 9:00am tee time should not take 5 and 1/2 hours. Would be a great course if there was someone enforcing pace of play.
