Golfer Reviews
Awesome course, worth every penny
My favorite course I have been to. If I could afford it, this would be the only place I golfed.
Excellent golfing experience.
My experience with The Ridge at Castle Pines was exceptional. The course staff is first class all the way, everyone I encountered was extremely polite and courteous.
The course was in immaculate, flawless condition; there was not a poor spot on the course. The layout is challenging but fun, if you hit nice shots you have a chance to score well. If you hit poor shots, you at least get to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.
I loved this course and will be going back frequently. For the price I paid ($85) it is tough to imagine a better value. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the game.
Tee boxes, fairways and greens was exellent and plush
Everything you expect from a championship course. Elevated tee boxes, plush and well groomed fairways with fast and challenging greens. With 88,well placed, bunkers to contend with also makes for challenging approach shots
Enjoyed every minute and every hole this course has to offer!
Spectacuar veiws and immaculate conditions for this time of year, i forgotten how much i liked the layout of this course. Back nine is awsome. Staff was excellent and courtious. Only negative was the green fee's of 115.00 or i would play this course much more. Would love to know if they have any "special rates" times of play
Fantastic vistas of mountains including Pikes Peak.
The cart path only slowed play, but that just gave us more time to enjoy the fantastic scenery of the Rocky Mountains . The 18th hole, "on the rocks" is one of the most interesting and challenging holes I have ever played. The views are amazing.
Back nine was very nice; early season golf and the course was in great shape
Check in was easy; great service in the clubhouse and a sleeve of balls at check in. Starter was prompt. Pace of play was good. The course was in excellent condition for early season. The bunkers were well maintained although the sand had small pebbles. The back nine was great with elevation changes and views. I will play there again.
Awesome!!
I was really impressed. Definitely the best course I've ever played.
Always a fun course. Excellent conditions for early April!
Great bargain at $59 for 18 holes including range balls and cart. Course was surprisingly in good condition for early April although not unexpectedly, the green were lightning fast. Only drawback was 20 mph pre-blizzard winds (there and in most of Colorado) .
great course closer than you think
I love the course and the distinct 18 holes that the Ridge offers.
Both 9's are challenging and memorable.
Some great par 3's with at least 50 feet of drop.
Stunning views
Feels like your in the mountains, but only 30 mins away from Downtown Denver.
This course was amazing!
I had some friends in town for my wedding weekend. This was the first time we had ever played this course. It is still considered off-season in colorado, but the course was amazing! We had so much fun. The team that was working yesterday was fantastic, and they took really good care of us. I will defiantly be back to play again!
Beautiful course
I got my round on Golfnow for $60. For that price, it was a steal. The layout and views are superb. If it weren't for the teeboxes being heavily under repair (though I don't count this against them too heavily, as it is part of maintaining a golf course) I would have given this 5 stars. If you get a chance, play this course.
Great golf course for the money
Course is in great shape for this time of year.
Problem is no drinking water on course so bring your own the course supply's 2 bottles per cart. Bathrooms are locked on course with pad locks . This was a big problem for me.
Great condition
Playing golf in CO is a privilege and this course is in the top 5 among all the courses we have to select from in Denver. Troon Golf does an excellent job managing this property and even though the pricing has increased, a must play.
Beautiful course to play.
This course has significant elevation changes. The holes require all your clubs and shot capability.
Great course in a spectacular setting.
The Ridge is a spectacular course layed out thoughtfully amongst the undulating hills of Castle Pines. You wouldn't know you were only 15 minutes outside of a major metropolitan area. This course feels like it's high up in the mountains. While the course isn't particularly long it has some tough holes with major elevation changes. The highlight of the round was the 18th hole that MUST be played from the tips. It is a knee shaking shot with a lot of carry over a rocky gorge followed by a long uphill approach to a postage stamp green surrounded by deep bunkers while those in the clubhouse can watch and laugh at your meager attempts at obtaining a par. Loved it!
Excellent course, challenging greens
Had a frost delay and the temp did not get down below freezing. Wish there was someway for them to send me an e-mail or text letting me know about this. Was also hoping that they had something open to accommodate people who were waiting to tee off, ie. breakfast, opening the kitchen. But I know it's tough to plan for these events of nature.
beautiful golf course, but very challenging
very hard, fast greens make this course very challenging for most amateurs. If you cannot hit a soft pitch shot, forget it. If you cannot hit high approach shots with lots of spin, forget it. You will not hold the greens. the greens that lie low on the course are 40% slower than the higher greens. The high greens must dry out and get very hard. The slope and course rating are understated.
Fun & Challenging
Very nice experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful from check-in through cart return. Large, well conditioned practice range with chipping/bunker area. Course was in great shape with a challenging layout that makes you always consider proper club selection and approach angles. Would enjoy playing it again.
Beautiful course, very challenging, incredible views.
This is a top tier course incredible views and good golf experiences. Its very well manicured with very fast greens. It requires numerous shot making skills and good putting skills. The only downside is the price, its pretty expensive at full rates. Fortunately GolfNow gives access to some good rates which are much more reasonable for the course.
Beautiful views, good greens, nice layout.
Really enjoyed this course. Terrific elevation changes and terrain. No 18 was really cool hitting over canyons and rocks. Word of advice, club down. Long shots usually leave you with a down hill flop out of thick rough onto a green sloping away from you!! Expect some challenges the first time you play it.
